In July 2016 Trump called on The Kremlin to hack his opponents emails.

How shocking it is to see the habitual deflection and rationalization from the most ardent Trumpers. In the comfort of their ineptitude and adoration for their greatest benefactor, Wikileaks, they're ready to abandon all reason, even if it pertains to the country's top priority, national security. But Marco Rubio said it most saliently, when he warned republicans that it could be them next. I'm not a republican; in fact, I loathe the GOP, but I can stand by a man who had the following to say in the midst of an excessively partisan and contentious campaign:

The Russians tried to hack the RNC but were defeated by the site's cybersecurity. Well reported in the Wall Street Journal.

Exactly.

Exactly.

This is just another case of the left hearing what they want to hear, reading into the statement what they want, all to serve as a foundation to excoriate someone without any sort of legitimacy or justification on this particular point.

I bet a lot of the left still think Palin said she can see Russia from her house.

I was not a Trump supporter, but I wouldn't characterize all those who supported Trump as idiots. I didn't think that in 2008 or even in 1992; I thought, "The people have spoken."

And that's what I think now. Trump is going to be the next President, and it's time, I hope, for us all to get on with it, as we always have. I've been part of the "loyal opposition," and now those disappointed by the election results have their turn.

I wish the President-Elect well. I hope that he is successful. (And I'm kind of holding my breath.) If he is successful, our nation will be successful, and that's what I want--a strong, independent, economically healthy United States.

Those same people were wonderful when they voted for Obama in 2008, but now they are idiots.

My how times have changed.
