Time to forgive and forget or keep our distance?

From the time most of us from the US were born, it's been presented that Russia is not our friend. Recently the tables seem to be turning for a more friendlier stance in certain circles.

Whatever country you are from, do you consider Russia to be your ally or not?

America...no. Former KGB essential dictator running their nation. Can't trust him. They hacked our nation during election cycle. They aren't our enemy. No shooting wars to be had with them. But we certainly shouldn't be letting down our fence any time soon.

Thanks for the link. Now, I can honestly say I did read the report, including the parts that a 7 year old wouldn't understand. I suggest you read those parts as well, and find:

then look further down to see who APT 28 and 29 actually are.

What they found was that someone sent John Podesta an email telling him he should give them his password...and he was stupid enough to fall for it. They also found that the DNC had a bad habit of emailing passwords to servers granting complete access to the DNC database.

Do you see anywhere in that report that the Russian Government ordered anything? That Putin was involved? That Russia was the source of the Wikipedia leaks? I'll give you a hint. Any time the government says 'likely' it means they are speculating.

Look at the chart showing where the hacks came from.

I looked at the chart. Its like showing 'jazz hands' when you have nothing. The entire report is a handful of speculation followed by 7 pages of basic internet security training. Its crap.

And the biggest tell about just how much garbage the report and allegations were is how quickly it suddenly has become a non issue now that they couldnt use it to stop the Trump presidency.

Of course it can't be used to stop the Trump presidency.

But then if we're willing to let Russia influence our elections, then by all means let's ignore the CIA report and their conclusions. After all, Trump said it might not have been Russia, so there you go. Anything Trump says trumps anything that the CIA or anyone else might say. (yes, pun intended) Look at California for example: He said there was no drought, and now it's raining! It's a miracle!

Tell him not to start turning water into wine though. That would put our wineries out of business.
