Will History Judge Trump to be a Good President? [W:101]

How will Trump do, overall, as President? How will history judge him?

President-elect Chump embodies the Anti-Christ. Fear not. The human race has weathered the reign of other narcissists. We can weather his reign too! Soldier on!

First he was "just like Hitler", and now he is the Anti-Christ.

The "Trippy" in your name fits very well.

I am sure you do not see one bit of EXTREMEISM in that statement, of course.

Chances aren't great, but we'll see.

There's a million possibilities.

OTHER: and option not provided.

FOR THE ZILLIONTH TIME.....

How about we wait with our score cards and then make our reports four years AFTER January 21st, 2016.

You politicos are ready to pass judgment before he is even sworn in, and not even officially the president !!!

This exercise is foolish on its face.

The poll actually tells us something. Half the respondents are quite pessimistic. The other half are spread among the range of possible outcomes.

For those who say they have no idea how he'll do (wish I had put that option in the poll, in retrospect), I hope that means that they're open to the possibility that he could do well, rather than necessarily being pessimistic.

There are people here that no matter what Trump does, will call him a failure. It's the way the "new" America is. No more county, all about the "team". Like the hooligans in Europe at soccer games. Who cares about he country anymore? It's about forcing you will on the other guy.

Trump doesn't seem to be that way. We'll wait and see.

The poll is basically a tabulation of how many lefties there are on this board. Obviously, I think Trump will do just fine. Obama was an "accidental president". He ran for the title but really didn't want the job and was unqualified for it anyway so he went out and played golf while the economy shifted to the "fortunate few".

Economic growth was due to the expansion of Dollar stores, 99 cent stores, Dollar General, Amazon, the Federal government, and the legal industry due to all the regulations.

As I have said before: "You are who you hire", and Trump is hiring heavy weights in every field and they are people who have accomplished something other that suck on the taxpayer's teat all their lives.

So bloviate on, but it is what it is and you will just have to suffer through the good times ahead.

I acknowledge my candor and EXTREMISM in many of my Trump-related statements AND I cherish my FREE SPEECH to make them. I describe Team Trump's Modus operandi as pragmatic calculus and Machiavellian. I have repeatedly congratulated those who support Team Trump for their stunning victory. I remain EXTREMELY skeptical of Trump's ability to govern confidently and competently for his entire term. In the "About Me" section of my profile, I describe the origins of my nickname Trippy Trekker. May your smile beguile your retirement. Blessings to you and all those you love!

Well, then, thank you and welcome to the DP forum.

I voted for Trump, but still have my scorecard.

Election Year Promises tend to fade away in the sunlight after they are sworn in.

I wait and see, with my scorecard at the ready.

Campaign Promises on one side, and ACTIONS on the other.

SLAM DUNK !!!

It is hard to say one thing about this rebuttal of yours, and I apologize for the "Trippy" comment.
Your manners and politeness counter your "Anti-Christ" comment very effectively.

Although, I still feel it was a bit overboard. This is all I will say on this.

Blessings to you and all you love as well.

Now, try and convince my cat of this as he just chewed my arm into hamburger.

I see several people comment that it is too early to say anything sensible about how Trump will perform as a president. And although that is true, as LessBiased pointed out, it is still very interesting to see what people think in this regard. Since we do not have a chrystal ball in front of us we should just take it as ideas and opinions. Would be very interesting to look back later and see how right and wrong we all are.
