Bold prediction since he has ZERO time in office at this point.

Just a matter of time. The REAL people are speaking and it won't be stopping any time soon. Did you really think a bigot would be welcomed with open arms? C'mon. Wake up. One and done!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder why his daughter sat in on a meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan.

Because she is running Trumps operation now and he wants to make sure she gets special treatment.

Enjoy your boy while you can. One and done, if not impeached.

Lol. First of all, if you are hanging your hat on an impeachment of a republican president by a republican House, you will likely be quite disappointed. Second, judging by the 'predictions' by liberals around here of Trump never getting to the White House in the first place, your 'one and done' is kinda funny. Finally, who is the democrat candidate in 2020 who is going to beat him?

Na. Not at all. Not at all. It's just a matter of time before he ABSOLUTELY blows it with your side. He's a maverick. Can't be trusted. Biggest liar, bigot and blowhard that both parties have ever seen. Just a matter of time. Many on your side still disapprove of him. One and done for sure. Spin it.

my boy?.... i didn't even vote for him, but i am getting enjoyment out of watching people cry, moan, and go into a state of hysteria.

Say'in like it is. Like it or not. One and done.

My wife's Metis and I sure wouldn't refer to her or her family as 'Injuns'. That's not a term of affection here, whatever you guys down there think. And you didn't use the word 'nip' about the Prime Minister of Japan as a term of affection either- you used it as a racial slur, dodge and spin however you want.

Right, because you know me soooo well.

I asked about Trump's daughter because earlier it was said that his kids were going to be looking after his business interests to avoid a perception of a conflict of interests.
Maybe she was just trying to sell him shoes or something.

Don't BS me. I know exactly why you asked the question, and that was a chief consideration in my response. You confirmed it yourself all the way along here.

For a guy who said he wouldn't work with lobbyists and who is now playing nice with the politicians he so insulted and creamed over in the primaries. Do you think Trump is doing a good job at draining the swamp, or is he just giving the little guys a leg up?

Dude...Trump hasn't even been sworn in yet and you are asking if he's drained the swamp yet? You do know that our President is Obama, right?

Tell you what...ask the mods to close this thread because you jumped the gun and then re-open it about 100 days after Trump takes ownership of the Oval Office. You won't appear quite so disingenuous then.

Spin what? You are a liberal who cant accept the fact that you lost and hope Trump collapses. There were lots of predictions that Obama would be 'one and done' and look how that turned out. 2020 is a long time from now and you cant name a single person on the left that can beat him. So your 'one and done' is nothing more than wishful thinking on your part.

I wouldn't want him to "drain the swamp" as he sees it. His picks thus far haven't been inspiring, outside of Priebus and Pompeo.

You always seem to want mods to close my threads. I must be hitting a nerve somewhere here. Trump is picking his cabinet and lining it with Washington Insiders and the elites and you are complaining about my post?? Best check your biased priorities

I don't care if you close your thread or not. I simply made a suggestion that would prevent you from looking foolish. If you don't like my suggestion...if you have no problem looking foolish...then, by all means, keep it open.

Trump has announced the selection of one member of his Cabinet: Sen. Sessions for Attorney General. While Sen. Sessions certainly has a LOT of experience in various levels and duties in our federal and state governments, he can hardly be characterized as an insider or an elite. So...not only are you jumping the gun about draining the swamp, you are spouting blather about his Cabinet selections.

Could be another reason to end this thread, don't you think? Or, do you think you don't look foolish enough?

The guy has been President elect for a week and a half.... how about giving him another few day to drain the swamp.
A swap that took 60 years to fill up.

You think Sessions isn't a Washington Insider. :lamo Why?

Well what is he doing so far?? There's the hint.

In other words, stuff that had nothing to do with the policies or how the country would be run.
Not so fast, those were telltale signs, humongous red flags!

When I think of an insider or an elite, I think of the kind of politician who is more interested in his own position, influence and power. I just don't see Sessions as that kind of person. He is not cut from the same cloth as a Harry Reid, Pelosi, Ryan or Graham...not to mention McConnell.

The insiders/elites are the ones who got their clock cleaned by Trump in the Primaries and in the General Election. Sessions has never been part of that group.

:lamo The guy has been in office since 1996 and was Attorney General before that. You can't get much more insider than that. It wasn't too long ago that Trump was telling his supporters that people like that who have been in office for 20 years are part of the problem. What makes you think Sessions is different from them? And you can't just say he's not an insider because he supported Trump. Give me examples of how he isn't an insider. Plenty of insiders supported Trump.

I've already given my definition of insider/elite and shown that Sessions, regardless his extensive public service, is not part of that group. Further examples...just because you demand them...are unnecessary.

Just because he's been in public service his whole life doesn't make him part of the swamp. There have been various politicians who have avoided wallowing in the muck. Sessions is one of them.

huh? You are not giving me any examples of why you think this about him. People in Congress, who support Trump are still insiders, and Sessions is one of them! I have a hard time trusting any politicians that have been in public service that long after all that was Trump's entire third debate argument against Clinton. "Why didn't you do anything for 30 years?"
