Will Donald Trump be "your President"?

After the inauguration, of course.

It's a simple yes/no question. There is no "other" or in between. The question is about concept, or beliefs regarding how we view and value our process and political system. Even though Trump is the current example at hand, it is not about him specifically, nor is it about Obama, Bush II, etc.

Sì. Señor Trump will be my president.

Doesn't matter how much I dislike him.

Absolutely he will be my President. He wouldn't have been my first choice (or second, or third or...well, he'd be way down the list), but he will still be my President.

Pretty much my thoughts. I am NOT happy that he won. I still believe he will be a travesty. But, this question is much bigger than the individual (I'm sure The Donald would disagree, of course). I will still respect the office, and as for respecting the country and our process, any President is "my President". Period.

Doesn't mean I have to like it or them, of course.

No, he will not. Of course, neither was Obama or Bush.

For better or for worse, as they say.

I saw plenty of people say he's not their president. I saw the same with Obama....and Bush. The fact is the president of the United States is all of our president. He won the election by the rules we have in place. Many may not like the rules of our electoral process, many won't like the result, but Trump won the election within the electoral process of the United States. Because of that, he is the President of every American.

I am not a Trump fan AT ALL. I despise the man as a human being and I am truly disgusted by the fact that he is the President. That said, he is the President and I hope is successful and that he makes America and the world a better place for everyone.

Must not be a US Citizen.

Nope, they all just suck. It's not like it would have even been different if their competition won either since Gore sucks, Kerry sucks, McCain sucks, Romney sucks, and Clinton sucks. In the thirty plus years I have been alive not once has suck not been the choices.

Yes. I mean, he won the election, whether I like that fact or not. He is the President of the United States, which is my country. So he is my president. Doesn't mean I have to be proud of that or anything, although I'm trying to maintain an open mind and some optimism on that score.

He will be my president just as much as Obama is currently my president.

Of course he will be my president. And, I will give him a chance to get me to either like him or dislike him. If he delivers on his promises to bring jobs, infrastructure improvements, law and order (especially in Washington), defend social security and help veterans...what's not to like?

I still can't believe Trump is the president....and I don't think I ever will.

He will be everyone's President whether we like it or not.

Well yeah, I'm an American. Obama was my president and Trump will be my president too.

Why the **** not. The Trump Show is my new favorite reality TV program. Should be interesting.

Absolutely not. He does not represent me or anything I stand for. In fact he is the enemy of what I stand for. He can go F himself.

Seeing as I have US citizenship that doesn't seem to be my call to make.

Trump is every American's president, whether they like it or not, just like Obama was. People need to grow the hell up.

If he is successful he will have undone everything we environmental scientists have spent our lives working on. So, no, he can not be my president and I can not root for him to be successful if that means the destruction of what I stand for.

People need to fight for what they believe in. He ain't it. He is anathema to everything I stand for. I'm not going to symbolically or otherwise support the destruction of many people's life work to help solve humanities problems. He is the enemy of science.

I didn't like it when the Right refused to accept Obama's presidency as legitimate. I won't lower myself to their level. He's our president. Now, that does not mean we can't oppose the things he says and does. It just means he is our president.
