Trump has listed many things he wants to do as President. Do you want President Trump to be successful at what he wants to accomplish for America?

How is success defined?

I too would like to know what "success" here means.

Just a simple, general question. Do you want President Trump to succeed as President of the US?

As others asked, how do you define succeed? Do I want the policies he enacts to have a positive effect in America? Absolutely. Do I support his policy agenda and hope he succeeds in passing it? No, as I do not think it will be good for America.

Wanting him to fail is rooting against the airline pilot on the plane you're on during a severe lightening storm.

Success means something different than the failed leadership and policies of progressives/liberals.

OP has been edited to define success --- Do you want President Trump to be successful at what he wants to get accomplished as President?

Success --- accomplishing what he's said he wants to accomplish.

You mean starting a bunch of trade wars, having our military commit war crimes, spiraling U.S. federal spending ever higher, and attacking the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments?

Ah - I hope he is unsuccessful in his efforts to do those things.

This analogy assumes that the pilot is trying to save the plane.

What about a pilot currently fighting his co-pilot because the pilot wants to drive the plane into the ground? Do you hope he succeeds? Isn't he the pilot?

You must not drive under the railroad bridges I drive under, seeing missing bolts and small chunks of concrete on the ground beneath. You must not know any people who are being pilloried by Obamacare premium increases. Whose small businesses are in jeopardy because they can't afford their premium increases. You must not support the law since you wouldnt seem to want to keep illegals out.

Oh, the things I didn't know about Redress.

Oh, stop it. There was only one candidate who wanted to bring down our System. And she lost.

See, you are conflating what you think about the proposed policies with success. Hillary supporters would say the exact same thing, with the names flipped.

So. Do you want the pilot to succeed in his plan to drive the plane into the ground?

Or is it possible that "success of the pilots' plans" does not necessarily perfectly align with "success of the plane"?

Also worth noting: "Tear Down The System" was a large part of the Trump movement. Not so much Hillary, who pitched herself as Competent Caretaker With Experience in The System.

The answer to your Hobson's Choice is obvious. And again, I'd say THAT candidate lost.

:raises eyebrow: The OP is presenting a Hobsons' Choice.

I hope Trump is successful in implementing those portions of the platform that are wise. I hope he is unsuccessful in implementing the portions that are foolish and destructive. Not wanting a pilot to aim the plane into the ground isn't cheering against the plane, it's recognizing that the plane's well being is not synonymous with the pilots' plans.

And, again, Trump was the one that ran on anger against, and tearing down the System. Hillary ran as someone who was competent and could be trusted to manage the System.

Who the **** are you talking to? Clearly not me since your post in no way addresses a single thing I said in any way. Clearly two of the things you do not know about are the policy plans Trump has and what I support policywise...

Of course I want him to succeed as far as producing good results for the country. I have serious questions about whether many of his policies will do that however.

Our status quo is why the system is broken in the first place.

What I and million of other who voted against her saw something different....like a person who felt she is entitled and wanted to take advantage of the system and to enrich herself. Now at least she and Slick won't get to leave the WH dead broke.

When it comes to a few of his policies, like investing in our infrastructure, I can pretty much get behind and I hope he does have sucess there. But the rest of the crap he advocated for, such as building a giant border wall and leaving NATO? Absolutely not.

If anything I hope Trump suceeds in helping the country rather than harming it. But only time will tell.

Oh, sorry. When you said you didn't support his policies, I thought that's what you meant. Silly me.

 I don't disagree. But that is not how she tried to present herself, whereas the Trump movement absolutely was about tearing down the System.

I want a global union of the most powerful nation states on this planet. That is success.

I'll be happy with a virtual wall. NATO? I don't know enough about it except that we pay the freight...
