How long will Paul Ryan remain Speaker of the House?

Pure speculation, yes, but it is a curious question. There is no love between Mr Trump and Mr Ryan. Will Ryan be able to remain as Speaker or will the party attempt to get someone more to Trump's liking in an effort to placate Trump and/or advance their agenda?

Or, maybe something else entirely?

I am going with "Awhile, then Ryan will be forced out" based on the idea that it comes down to how well (or not) the 115th Congressional House works with Trump. If the next two years becomes a fiasco then probably "forced out."

For awhile it was sounding like Ryan would be out after the election. Don't know if Trump winning actually changed that though. Republicans probably don't want to go through a big speaker battle right now.

I went with "As long as Ryan wants". He's been a good leader for the GOP in general, particularly because no one really seemed to want the job in the first place. He oversaw the GOP maintaining control of Congress as well, so that's a plus. He didn't get along with Trump, but I'm not sure that's going to culminate in something that will force him out. I think the job is his for as long as he wants it, but we'll have to wait and see.

Same idea here, but I picked "other" since his tenure is conditional. ;)

Trump is very forgiving, Ryan gets to stay so long as he indicates to Trump that he understands that Trump is in charge, and that work needs to get done.
