so you admit you WANTED to bring peoples COLOR into the picture.

so to find an argument, you had to revert to the lowest of the low......

Historical facts are historical facts.

U.S. Voting Rights

U.S. Voting Rights
When the Constitution was written, only white male property owners (about 10 to 16 percent of the nation's population) had the vote. Over the past two centuries, though, the term "government by the people" has become a reality. During the early 1800s, states gradually dropped property requirements for voting. Later, groups that had been excluded previously gained the right to vote. Other reforms made the process fairer and easier.

Were you ignorant of this historical reality?

It really didn't though. It was known before the election was even done that the heavily populated areas in New Mexico were going to the democrat.

But that isn't my point. The point is that a vote for the winner in New Mexico COULD HAVE made a difference had the electoral college vote been much closer. A small (population wise) state like New Mexico or Delaware could have made the difference between the winner and loser in a much closer election. And for that reason New Mexico and Delaware voters are considered as important in a way they would not otherwise be. Both states have fewer citizens than the population of Chicago or Houston or NYC or LA alone.

Go to a popular vote in which a few concentrated population areas will determine every election, those are the areas that presidential candidates will focus on and will be the only areas they will likely care about. The rest of us will truly be flyover country that doesn't matter.

Punishing people for the state in which they live is what the EC does. And you support that.

Your reaction is typical of some on the right who use terms like LIBERTY and FREEDOM as hollow cliches and stand against them in real life with real issues.

How can you pretend to be for liberty or freedom and take that stand?

This is getting too dumb to continue to respond to. I'll refer you to my posts to people who actually understand the subject. Do have a pleasant day though.

Those who use the hollow currency of cliches like FREEDOM and LIBERTY do not like it when their noses are rubbed back into it .

YOU admit you wanted to bring a persons color into an argument, that is low...very low

It was history and the law that brought a persons color into it. Does that bother you that I or anyone else would remind you of that undeniable historical and legal reality?

does it bother you, in order to try to make any point you have to resort to color..you clearly could have made your point without going there.

in your history of this forum[DP], you have even resorted to hinting of forum member "American" of committing illegal acts of sex.:(

Right time, right action.

Will you object when President Obama pardons Hillary?
I don't think BO pardoning Hillary will happen because
(1) Hillary won't be convicted and/or
(2) BO's term as president would be up.

Do I think some president could pardon Hillary if she's convicted? Most definitely. Trump? I'm not so sure.

If Hillary is convicted and pardoned, I won't have any say in the matter so I won't fret about the situation.

The President can't pass a bill without congress.

You don't seriously think the President has absolute power, do you?
The president has the most power of any other branch. And a president's EO can, indeed, 'pass' something without congress.

Twas the bitch of history that resorted to color sir........ all I did was report its chronicle.

And I have not the slightest idea of what that last line means about your compatriot and ally.

no problem
i have already sent you a link to your statement of you hinting a forum member is involved in illegal sex acts.

Congress can still go back and override it, as happened recently. But what we were talking about was the Supreme Court. The President can't override a SC decision, especially one that's been in force for decades.

I said 50%.

Politics is a world of compromise and quid pro quo if you want to get anything done.

I will be happy if he;

a) Enforces existing immigration laws and increases the immigration cops and lets them do their jobs. No fence will be necessary if that is done.

b) Gets rid of 100% of Obama's Executive Orders.

That's it and that is all that would actually have any effect on my life.

Of course, I would love it if he allowed medical MJ to be used by 100% disabled service-connected veterans like me.
The morphine I am taking is finishing the job our enemies started.
I am up to 90mg a day just to be able to function.
I do not see this continuing indefinitely.
I would rather make cookies.

You know there are states with legal medical marijuana? Right? My state (Florida) legalized it. Or will the VA not cover it?

Congrats to those who voted for Trump.
You defeated the worst candidate to ever be nominated by the Dems, with the worst candidate to ever be nominated by the Reps.

So here's my question for you:

How much of what Trump promised he'd do, will he actually do?
He's also not going to put minorities in gas chambers in concentration camps. The hyperbole around Trump was just too over the top.

I asked about that.

I was told as long as MJ is a federal banned item, then the VA cannot and will not issue it.

However, on the TV channel VICELAND I did see a show where there is a group in CA that gives it to vets anyway, but they are in peril of losing all of their VA privileges if caught in a piss test.

I can't risk that.

Until he's sworn in as POTUS, he can make all the lists he wants.

I'll wait to see what he actually does after that day.

The list is already approved by the Senate leader and the Speaker of the House.
