Should the FBI investigate leaks pertaining to the Clinton investigation?

Dems ask Justice to investigate FBI leaks | TheHill

“It is absolutely unacceptable for the FBI to leak unsubstantiated -and in some cases false - information about one presidential candidate to benefit the other candidate. Leaking this information to former FBI officials as a conduit to the Trump campaign is equally intolerable,” Conyers and Cummings wrote in a Friday letter to Justice Department inspector general Michael Horowitz.

Giuliani told Fox News on Oct. 26 that Trump had “a surprise or two that you’re going to hear about in the next two days.”

During a Fox and Friends interview Friday morning, Giuliani suggested he had advance knowledge of the FBI investigating emails possibly related to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server. He said that former FBI agents had told him about dissension within their ranks about investigating Clinton.
Yes
No
Other - Pls explain

Yes they should. Just like some of the information that Manning provided Wikileaks doesn't excuse the federal government at the time, it didn't excuse his illegal activities either. This should be investigated.

Agreed.

What about the State Department leaking information about Emailgate to the Clinton camp?

Because you know that no laws were broken, but since your guy is effected, you want to pretend that it's illegal.

Nope.
Lets get to the meat of this.
Are you stating that active FBI agents can comment, on their own initiative, on past, present or possible future investigations?

I'm stating that it isn't a crime. Now, if you care to show us the law that makes it a crime, then I welcome it.

No.

A total waste of time. Leaks are the nature of DC. If the FBI was called upon to investigate every leak in DC, all elected politicians and appointed officials would end up in jail.
Not talking about politicians. If a CIA person released secret or confidential information, you would be OK with it?

Of-course the FBI should investigate but it wasn't Wikileaks that forced Comey's hand and made him reopen the investigation

It was a combination of Carlos Dangers sexting habits and Huma completely forgetting that there was still one device that hadn't been hit with a hammer or wiped with beachbit.

The FBI subpoenaed Wieners Computer and the rest is history. I think at this point Wikileaks is icing on the cake as far as the FBI is concerned. Whats on that PC is most likely enough to indict at least Huma.

The Wikileaks releases have done more to shape public opinion. They've shown just how corrupt Washington has become, that special interest takes precedence over the American voter and just how disconnected the elite are from the average American citizen.

Well I have learned some lessons regarding interaction with you. So good night.

Yes they are corrupt, what is odd is only Dems emails are being released. Your thoughts on this are?

It's done all the time. Everybody leaks information. Right or wrong, it's the nature of the beast in DC.

How about the Attorney General meeting with Bill Clinton on the tarmac? Think anything was leaked there?

If the FBI were set upon to investigate every leak, that is all they would do.

Beat me to it. But it's not just DC. LE routinely releases information that it technically shouldn't whenever it feels it suits their interest.

Then they are doing what Comey has been accused of, interfering with an election

There is no way to stop leaks. Again, it's the nature of the beast and it will never stop. An investigation would be pointless.

Im sure there's dirt out there on the GOP, but Assange seems to be focused on Hillary for some reason.

He claims to be a non-partisan actor intent on exposing corruption, but he also seems to have a sincere hatred for Hillary Clinton.

Maybe he heard she wanted to drone him, or heard that they were discussing setting up a award for his capture.

Maybe he has a hatred for the elitists who hold themselves above the law, who knows

If he has dirt on the GOP thats comparable then I say release it too. Washingtons a cess pool and the best thing Ive heard from Trump is his plan for ethics reform.

There will be four or less years of Clinton sleaze, combined with eternal investigations and up or down votes of various aspects of Clinton Foundation activities with the goal of dismantling it or being a vehicle for her impeachment.

Things like blacklisting aid to countries who donated to the Clinton Foundation.
Or doing a closer examination of any contracts with foreign governments involved with "Clinton,Inc".
And certainly not sending troops to countries that "paid for play" until the necessity gas been fully vetted.

Death by a thousand cuts.

What does any of this have to do with the question at the top of the thread?

Anyway... of course the FBI needs to investigate the leaks and root out its rogue agents. If the bureau can't keep its own house in order, then it has lost all credibility. This is a no-brainer.

The Clinton administration will try or expect everything to stop and return to normal. You have a political layer and a "working stiff" layer at the FBI, and the career agents are not going to let go.

Same thing, it should be investigated.
