This current election appear to be the biggest farce in U.S. history, with the choices being between a buffoon on one hand, and a wicked witch on the other.

There have been a couple of movies made about popular comedians running for the office, including:

Man of the Year (2006) starring Robin Williams. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_of_the_Year_(2006_film)

Head of State (2003) starring Chris Rock. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Head_of_State_(film)

Then there was Stephen Colbert's joke attempt in 2008. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Colbert_presidential_campaign,_2008

Maybe it's time to select someone with some political savvy but who will take the job less seriously and perhaps a little more sympathetically for the common citizen, like a comedian. ;)

I've selected some famous options and left a space for "other" so you can offer your own options.

Take this as the "comedic" opportunity it is, and explain your choice.

Dammit. It timed out before I could put up the list.

1. Lewis Black.

2. Stephen Colbert

3. Ellen DeGeneres

4. Jamie Foxx

5. Whoopie Goldberg

6. Bill Maher

7. Other

8. No! Are you kidding me!

I'm going to go with Denis Leary, I like his meat and war platform

You will eat the meat folks, because this country was founded on two things. Meat, and war. You eat enough ****ing meat, you wanna kill somebody. That's the way it works. That was the ultimate American dream. During that Persian Gulf War, I was sitting in my living room, naked, with a can of Budweiser and a three inch stake watching the war, live, on TV. I had a six foot erection with a giant cheese burger on the end of it. I ate so much meat during the war that by the time the war was over three weeks later, I was like, "No no no. We need to keep fighting. Make a couple of stops on our way home from the Persian Gulf. First stop! Vietnam! Surprise the **** out of those people, huh?" "You make a movie?" "Not this time, pal!"

I personally think Bill Maher is one of the most arrogant, sensitive, uncontrollably prickish assholes I've seen, and I don't agree with him politically most of the time, but he was pretty easily my choice because I think he'd actually try to do a good job and would be the least likely to be corrupted or eaten alive. I could be wrong but that's my impression/assessment of him.

Might as well elect a comedian, the two candidates we have are a joke.:lamo

1. Lewis Black.

Don't know him.

2. Stephen Colbert

Never watched his show so meh.

3. Ellen DeGeneres

She'd be an interesting pick. I could just see her getting some ayatollah dancing over a footstool. :lamo

4. Jamie Foxx

Would also be interesting. Though less so than Ellen.

5. Whoopie Goldberg

There was a time that I would have enjoyed and advocated her as a POTUS. Not anymore. She has become a shill for the far left imo.

6. Bill Maher

No. Just...no.

If he was still alive I would have LOVED to see George Carlin as POTUS. No nonsense and yet made you laugh your ass off.

Al Franken, has got government experience as a senator and he is a funny man, job done.

Now if I wanted an enraged president I would vote Black (great comic), if I wanted a talk show president I would go for Jon Stewart rather than Colbert, but that is me personally. Now if I wanted a country with a joint I would go for Maher but I doubt any of them are real president material so I would go for Al Franken, a man who can be seriously funny but also serious.

Jon Stewart would be the best. Bill Maher is clever but he's not smart enough about the issues. Whoopi Goldberg is a terrible human being. I'm not sure how I feel about Jamie Fox, Ellen, or Lewis. Stephen Colbert isn't a horrible choice but he's a bit too liberal for me but certainly funny.
