But a 2005 recording made public on Friday of Donald J. Trump speaking in extraordinarily vulgar terms about women became a new bridge too far across a seemingly endless landmass separating civil behavior and Mr. Trump’s campaign for the presidency.

Mr. Ryan responded by uninviting Mr. Trump from a rally in his home state, Wisconsin, on Saturday, and said he was “sickened” by Mr. Trump’s remarks. But even as many congressional Republicans, including some very conservative House members, pulled away from Mr. Trump on Saturday morning, Mr. Ryan did not go so far as to withdraw his support for the businessman and former reality television star.

No. Ryan will put party loyalty above country and basic human decency.

Go ahead, surprise me Paul.

I think it's too late. The GOP metaphorically got into bed with Trump despite all the warning signs.

They can now go to election hell with him.

I'm done trying to make semi-accurate predictions about this election...

The more that senior republicans walk away from Trump the more it may affect down stream races- House & Senate.

I don't see why.

It is a tempest in a teapot for which Trump has already apologized.

Add up those so called tempests and you have a gale, and it ain't laughter

Nice try, but no.

His "grab their ******s" isn't going anywhere, in fact has re-kindled the "feminist debate", playing right into the Democrats hands. Hilary's "isn't it time" is lame, stupid and has no legs with the younger generations. This, with the clear sexual abuse and boasting re-opens the whole debate through the worst possible door, sex abuse.

So, whether he stays or goes, more and more women are engaged where they hadn't been before, and his "apology" only served to unnerve if not anger as he attacked Clinton for her husband's behavior, more of the childish "I know you are" bull****.

Of course Speaker Ryan will NOT dump Trump. He climbed into bed with him and now he risks disease and perhaps worse. And he deserves it.

The man is a buffoon, and would not have been my choice for the nomination. Even so, I'd prefer a buffoon over Hillary Clinton.

I wold take HRC as she would cause less damage to the US and to FP.

Ryan should dump him, as should McConnell and a lot of others. He probably won't, but he should. Trump is a disgusting human being.

Trump is a bit more than a buffoon. He is by his own words a sexual predator. The "Who are you going to believe, my own words or your own lying ears?" doesn't let him off the hook.
