Do you actually care about BLM?

Do you care about the BLM movement?

I'm just curious because it's something that perplexes me. I can honestly say I don't care at all about the BLM movement. It doesn't make me angry, happy, or anything else. But the volcanic emotions it brings about from people who seem the least touched by its activities is continually surprising.

Edit: Upon further reflection I think the furious reactions to it are generally more telling about that particular individuals 'anxiety' about the broader 'culture war' that we hear so much about.

I think the original message behind Black Lives Matter was entirely legitimate, and that it was consistently marketed in the most incompetent manner possible.

When they start sounding more like Martin Luther King, Jr. and less like the Black Panthers, I'll care.

If I was, say, the father of a US police officer I would care a lot about Black Lives Matter or any other group which advocated the murder of my son or daughter.

I have strong feelings about BLM as I have personally witnessed officers risking their lives daily to answer calls and help communities be safer and I have personally witnessed BLM calling for the assignation of police officers.
