Who Should Moderate the Debates?

granted he's anti-Trump, but he's the most well known Hispanic anchor of the most popular spanish speaking network.

If Jorge Ramos was a debate moderator, you'd also need someone like Bret Baier as a moderator to counterbalance him.

Tough choice, because I would very much enjoy Jon Stewart! Also, Anderson Cooper is, imo, usually fair to both sides. However, I actually voted for Megyn Kelly, because frankly she hates them both and I KNOW she wouldn't play favorites!

I think to play it safe, they'll probably pick Cooper or Wolf. Which is NOT what it SHOULD be!

I picked Cooper and Kelly. They are on the left and right, but not opposed to challenging their candidate.

constitutional teacher, former NJ supreme court judge Andrew Napolitano

And a contrarian on president Lincolns legacy.

Also his veiws regarding 9/11 conspiracy theories are questionable.

If we are considering Supreme Court justices can we also add david Souter or john Paul Stevens to balance things?

The election committee is taking its time picking moderators for the debates because of one thing. Donald Trump! Trump will change the debate structure in a way because of what he says and his personality. That means they need someone tough on the stage to butt heads with the two seasoned egotistical politicians. Make no mistake, Hillary isn't going to let anyone push her around either. I'll throw out some seasoned names here and maybe a few crazy choices but feel free to add your own.

Now I hear the committee is taking their time because they don't want to have some old white guy (which are half of these choices btw) and they want to appeal to millennials more with their choice. They also don't want HUGE characters/names to potentially overshadow the candidates. I don't think many of these choices fit perfectly with everything, but honestly Jon Stewart and Howard Stern would be perfect choices....

Multiple Choice(s) allowed.

I say it should be Leslie Jones from SNL...just to watch her make Trump squirm with inadequacy.

But if not her, then how about Henry Kissinger? Nobody can question his conservative cred...and I'd dearly love to watch Trump try to keep up like a petulant child watching a discussion between two of the most experienced diplomats in our lifetimes.

You don't want a moderator who is anti-anyone. That's how you get the "Candy Crowley" problem.

Personally, I like to see 75% scripted questions and 25% "issues if the day".

If both of them moderated that would be awkward as heck. However, I don't want to see any more of Leslie Jones. NO.No.No.No.No. Not after her nudies surfaced. No thankie. She's ugly and I never found her the slightest bit funny, but then again I don't get today's humor all that much and I'm one of those dreaded millennials.

if you like

Keith Olbermann would be fantastic.

The moderators should be taken by lottery of private citizens who are registered to vote and can show they have voted in the past.

My choices would be: Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Starr Parker, and Michael Kinsley.

But because all of those are serious people who would be digging for necessary information instead of sensationalism or gotcha stuff, the debates might be worth listening to for information instead of some sort of purient entertainment value.

Serious people....!!!!???
Kinsley is a serious guy, Parker I'm not familiar with, Ingraham is borderline, but Coulter is the least serious media person on earth!!!
She's the epitome of sensationalistic, gotcha, prurient entertainment.

Somebody from Monday Night Football? Where's that option?;)

Edit: Nevertheless, I voted for Jorge Ramos, for the obvious reason that it would take maybe just one of his questions to get under the Assassinator-in-Chief's thin skin.

Other: Lewis Black :)

I wasn't aware that physical attractiveness was an important factor in choosing a debate moderator. But then, considering what's been revealed as the general attitude at Fox News towards women, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.

I don't see that in her. Yes, she says something deliberately provocative every time she wants to attract interest in a new book she has coming out--that tactic sells a lot of books--but her commentary is brilliant, her scholarship impeccable, and she would brook no nonsense or fillibustering or spin in a debate. I chose her precisely for that reason.

It's not but that doesn't mean I want to see or hear more of her!
