They're not great or anything, but I can eat them.

Living in one of the lands of the olive, let me put the two cents in that green olives can be anywhere from horrible to extremely tasty/meaty little buggers rivaling but not beating the best of blacks.

Green olives do NOT matter. They're disgusting.

I've never tried using a black olive in a martini, but I can't imagine it would work very well.

what i find funny is that the only black lives that appear to matter are those lives taken by white people defending themselves against the aforementioned black life's violent aggression.

Far out, man.

Not sure I've ever had a green olive, I like black and kalamata ones. As to the (rest) of the thread, I think it's a bit funny and actually don't think it's going to have as much of a negative as people think. For the most part with any of this stuff, the business the company losses seems to be at worst inconsequential and at best they gain more then they lose.

As to the topic, I think it's kinda crass. Not entirely unfunny, but certainly not a way to drum up business outside of GoFundMe possibilities.

How can you not love their salty deliciousness? Have you ever tried the large ones? The small ones tend to be mushy.

I mean it kind of trivializes the movement, which if you're going to rip something off for financial gain like a pizza campaign, isn't cool. Then again we shouldn't expect sensitivity from a pizza chain. Further, BLM itself has been trivializing the losses suffered by actual victims such as Trayvon Martin, by linking every fart in the wind that catches the nostrils of a young black person to systemic racism

U Missouri for instance has lost over *20%* of its freshman class amidst racial turmoil that has dragged on and on - It's Official: BLM Has Cost Mizzou 2100 Students | The Daily Caller . Let me tell you, having grown up near violently racist environment, it is not college campuses that need a 'crackdown'; it's the small 98% white trash towns with confederate flags all over. And this advertising campaign won't make a damn bit of difference to those places, for one because they don't have a pizza chain, two because no one there can afford black olives, and three because racial justice news travels slow out in the sticks - most of em wouldn't get the reference at all

Given that African Americans are disproportionately targeted by Law Enforcement, it is offensive.

I don't like olives in general. They's nasty to me.

It's a strong taste best reserved for highly specific things. There are a few dishes where olives make them extraordinary, such as spaghetti alla puttanesca and Moroccan chicken tajine. In those contexts, you'll begin to appreciate the olive quite a lot.

BLM trivializes black deaths by ignoring the majority of black deaths in order to focus on trumped up claims of supposedly racist cops, so I see nothing wrong with trivializing BLM.

Black people don't emphasize black-on-black deaths as much as you'd like, so it's okay to trivialize police-on-black killings.

Okay. :|

So you're calling for violence on towns that are basically all white.

Olives are gross.
So you dont like olives, lobster, shrimp or oysters... you sir, have terrible taste in food! :2razz:

I have the best taste in food. I just don't eat insects and olives.

It's certainly not the best business idea.

Oh please, stop with this PC crap...do really think the majority of people really care or are thinking about this when they enter an Italian restaurant?
