It ended an endless war that would have cause numerously death on both sides.
75,000+ non-combatants, including women and children were killed. And it didn't end the war, we ended up having to drop another. And Truman lied about the target to justify how horrendous it was. So, all of this is excusable in the name of victory?
Yes I would consider that lie worst then Hillary's long list of lies.
Good, at least something we can agree upon.
Only that the US government wasn't involved.
Oh really? So the CIA wasn't secretly training and arming these Cubans for the assault? Check your history.
Look on the bright side of that deal....it ended the hostage crisis.
Are you being facetious? We armed a modern-day terrorist state! We also essentially created the Taliban in Afghanistan by funding the Mujahedeen who were fighting the Soviets. The US has a history of backing the wrong horse.
The American people couldn't take the truth...the North Vietnameses were using Cambodia to move military hardware and other supplies that were being used to kill Americans.
So? Are you saying that gives us the right to violate International Law by invading a neutral country and then lie about it? How many non-combatant Cambodians were killed? We'll never know. More importantly, how many US soldiers were killed unnecessarily by being involved in this bad decision, followed by a lie, and attempted cover up?
Man...how old are you to bring that up?
Still a president, and still part of our history.
As far as I know the revolution was when Panama declared its independence from Columbia and again in 1921 which was a little after T Roosevelt.
Again, please do a little research. Who do you suspect helped arm the rebels, and "secretly" encouraged and funded the revolution?
The US Greer was the first American ship attacked by a German sub shortly before the start of WWII. I don't know what lie you are talking about.
Sighs.....again, I implore you to do a bit of reading....not just the first wiki summary you find in a Google search. The claim was that this was an UNPROVOKED attack. It was not.
Why was that a lie? Suspending Habeas Corpus during war time is a normal thing to do. What mass executions?
No, but it was an abuse of Presidential power and obviously a rights violation. And these ordered executions had nothing to do with the war. These were 38 males of the Sioux Indian nation in Minnesota.
So you are saying Hillary if elected shouldn't be allow a security clearance.
I'm saying that she's done nothing worse that many other presidents and that many "good" presidents have indeed done MUCH worse.
No charge for the history lesson by the way. Hope you learned something. if so, I feel my job here ids done. Good day sir!
