Is it time for Hillary to drop out of the race?

Time for Hillary to Drop Out?

  • Total voters
    61
Finally, and we all knew this day was coming, people are calling for Hillary to drop out of the race. Hillary cannot beat Trump. Trump and Sanders create excitement. Hillary creates, well nothing.

Trump and Sanders fill-up stadiums and parks, huge venues. Hillary's people - to this day - must book very small locations (1,000 capacity or less) so as to provide the illusion that Hillary is packing them in. Ahhhh, decidedly not.

Trump and Sanders are on time and show boundless energy and enthusiasm. Hillary is habitually late, 30 minutes, 45 minutes or longer. Ironically it has never been reported that Hillary has been late for private fund raising dinners with the 1%. Hillary obviously hates being around the common people. Does Hillary have disdain for the commoners? There is no doubt that she acts like it. It's palpable, and truly, any attempt to change her public persona would be much too late. It would appear to most every voter as putting lipstick on a pig.

What say you? Vote the poll.
I know you're reading this post waiting for some profoundly insightful comment, some arcane nuance that has been overlooked, or a 'from-the-trenches' pragmatic truth that simply cannot be denied - all of which I must humbly remind you, I am more than eminently capable!

But instead, I'm just here to give you a 'like' for using "deus ex machina"!

Re: Time for Hillary to Drop Out?

Biden still might decide to run, you never know.
I dunno.

But I do think it was odd a weak ago, when he announced he would've picked Liz Warren as his running-mate.

Biden-Warren was my dream ticket, and I have no doubt that was the Dem's strongest possible ticket!

I'm no fan but I almost feel sorry for her. I don't think she's in the best health and she doesn't seem like she even really wants it.

While I do not feel sorry for her I too suspect that she isn't healthy. She doesn't look it when compared to her 74 year old energetic and enthusiastic challenger. Hillary looks and acts dogged tired. I'm sure all 3 candidates are but Hillary doesn't appear to be game ready. For me that makes her VP choice all the more critical.

You have to wonder if Hillary can gut out the first 4 years, let alone a second 4. Just looking at the behavior and appearance of all 3 candidates Hillary appears to be the least healthy. Does she choose a candidate to appeal to a demographic segment or does she choose a VP who will be an excellent 2nd in command capable of stepping up if she cannot carry out her duties?

I can't see Hillary selecting anyone who might be viewed as more favorable than Hillary. If so, that eliminates a hell of a lot of worthy choices. People generally don't like Hillary. They aren't drawn to her. People do not believe her and most do not trust her. Hillary will not allow anyone even the potential of upstaging her. In that manner Hillary might "dumb down" her own administration at a time when we need strong, innovative leadership.

I'm not at all convinced that Bernie Sanders could beat Trump. Sanders has been given pretty much a free ride to date while Trump and Clinton have both been savaged by different sections of the media. Sanders, to date, is like everyone's cute gramps and we're humouring him, but nobody is seriously going to give gramps the keys to the car at this stage in his life.

For better, but mostly for the worst, Democrats are chained to the Clinton lead ball and it's really all they've got.

I don't know, John. Bernie has been ignored and laughed at pretty much since day one. Comparatively he has had little press than the other two.

No she should not drop out.

Trump was always bellowing for his opponents (Jeb or Kasich or Marco or Cruz) to drop out for one reason or another.

Sure no per on n the history of the US has ever had a witch hunt or more lies spread of them then those about Hillary yet she by far remains the most qualified for POTUS.

I think Sanders should keep going as well. I love Bernie and I am sure many of his supporter to give him a chance will stir it up and call for her to drop out. Come on --- if you were competing in anything --- would you suddenly stop and demand no opposition and your opponent should drop out? I think Hillary is the only candidate that is not ***** whining for her opponents to drop out. Trump definitely good the prize for insisting any competition drop out - he was a real tool in the republican primary each few days demeaning whomever was up in the polls against him better drop out for one reason or another.

Sure people are calling for Trump to drop out based on his fraud and bankruptcies and inability to do much more than bellow to crowds yet he has a right to go for it as well.

No Hillary should not drop out. Beside she is the only centrist candidate and that is how most educated Americans fall politically.

Yet do not misread me by my vote on this poll --- I love the progressiveness of Bernie. He is a phenomenon.

Trump is Trump and despite the majority of sane and educated Americans not wanting him as POTUS - he has a right to stay in - despite him insisting that none of his republican contenders had any rights. I am sure he will shout the same words to whomever runs against him in the General Election.

To the bolded:

Feeling in a free-wheeling & joking mood this fine holiday weekend, I initially wanted to simply leave one of these 'lmao' emoticons: ":lamo"

But actually, the bolded that looks so much like an excellent late night talk-show punchline, is true (and sad).

Hillary Clinton is a serial f*ckup, she can't stay out of trouble, and her electoral successes are proof of mass cognitive disorder on the part of Democratic voters.

Yes, she most certainly is a serial f*ckup.

No, I don't think she should drop out of the race. She's proven herself far to arrogant to admit she's made mistakes (witness all the lying about Benghazi and her email), so she'll not drop out of the race until it's beyond obvious that it's the right thing to do (when has she ever done that?) or the only possible thing to do (which is what she'll need to be convinced of).

The end result is that she will continue to inflict damage for quite a while longer. I think the Democrats are going to have to give up on this election.

Unfortunately Republican voters tie the Democrats for abject stupidity, so the country may be treated to the worst of all possible political worlds this year.

Meh. I suppose it depends on how receptive you are to non-establishment political party choices. If you aren't receptive to this, well, then you aren't going to like this very much, yeah, that's true.

There is always a Clinton under some kind of investigation somewhere.

I am sure Chelsea is next.

As to polls for the general election:

Three polls conducted last week confirm Sanders’ advantage in the general election: An NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released on Sunday showed Clinton leading Trump by 3 points, 46 percent to 43 percent. Sanders, on the other hand, had a commanding 15-point advantage, 54 percent to 39 percent.
Last week, a Fox News poll showed Clinton trailing Trump by 3 points, but Sanders ahead by 4 points. A CBS News/New York Times poll was better for Clinton, showing her leading Trump by 6 points. But Sanders was 13 points clear of Trump, that survey showed.

Some pollsters, in fact, aren’t even asking about a potential Sanders-Trump matchup. An ABC News/Washington Post poll out this weekend didn’t include Sanders in the general-election trial heats. The poll matched Clinton against Trump — showing Trump leading Clinton among registered voters, 46 percent to 44 percent — then added a hypothetical three-way race including 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney as an independent candidate.

I agree - but that's a good thing for Bernie. Just look at the Republican race - every time a candidate started to get traction, the media went after them because they wanted Trump to win. They want the Democrats to win, and they're still scared that skeletons will fall out of Hillary's closet so they're not going to beat up on Bernie yet, just in case they need him. On the other side, the conservative media wants Clinton so they are basically ignoring Sanders.

I am sure Chelsea is next.

Chelsea's husband, Marc Mezvinsky, is working on it. He has certainly benefited from Bill and Hill's sweetheart relationship with Goldman Sachs though he apparently knows little about investing other people's money.

That's no crime, but there's no virtue in it either. Give him time and with Clinton connections Mezvinsky and Chelsea will soon be involved in their own sordid dealings involving power, privilege and basic feckerery.

And while the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, a rotten apple also ruins the other apples in the barrel.

I think Hillary Clinton is BY FAR the best candidate of those still left.

There is no way she should drop out...and I think, if the Sanders supporters do the right thing when she sews he nomination up, she will win the election handily.

There is no way anyone with any kind of brains should be hoping for a Donald Trump win.

With the voters like this one, the country is so totally screwed by the liberals and the low-information soccer moms who twice elected a promiscuous hick from Arkansas. Later, the brain-dead single women doubled down with a truly vile gift from hell - a Muslim community agitator from Chicago - in exchange for the federally mandated birth-control pill.

In their perverted logic, promiscuity, random premarital sex, free contraceptives, and unrestricted ability to cut up into smaller pieces what could one day be a smiling and happy child take precedence over everything else. The survival of the white race and the nation, the American feminazis and their mindless followers happily left to the fly-over, Bible-clutching, gun-packing right-wingers to worry about.

As the concept of unselfish patriotism quickly becomes outdated and almost laughable as the Constitution itself, it takes no special skill to predict that the nation’s fate will ultimately be sealed the day the white American men - outnumbered and *****fied - finally abdicate and start voting for the party offering the best deal on porn, condoms and Viagra.

Since Chelsea is the head of the foundation, I think her investigation will be coming very soon.

Most of us can say the same thing substituting Hillary's name for Trump.

In case you've not noticed, Hillary is losing support left, right and center.
Even the Clinton News network (CNN) has turned on her.
Seems that the political establishment is wavering in their support as well. All this doesn't bode well for future.

There is nothing honorable or decent about Mrs. Clinton.

A very accurate assessment.

Calls to question the judgement of some are still of the opinion that "Hillary Clinton is BY FAR the best candidate". Perhaps poor judgement runs not only in Hillary's decisions and decision making but also in these voter's.

What the **** does race have to do with this? Hitlery is as white as they come. Get a grip.

Hilary isn't dropping out think so is a joke, and Hilary will also destroy Trump. Now I don't want wither of them in office but I am stating whats going to happen.

So let me get this straight, the candidate who in a democracy secured the majority to win a party's inter-elections needs to drop out of the race because she generates no excitement. Do you guys hear yourselves talking or do you just shoot off the mouth, unhinged by your fantasies for a liberal utopia that will miraculously erase a legacy of licentiousness and idleness?

Can we all go on record and proclaim this election cycle the foremost exemplar of why democracy is a **** regime?

<snipped>

If the Democrats want to save themselves the indignity of a total slaughter, Hillary Clinton should drop out of the race. After last week, a Hillary-led ticket has as much chance of winning the White House as Trump has of losing the white vote. Sanders can beat Trump. And Hillary can’t — not anymore.

Too many scandals, too many years of Clinton fatigue, and now, after the latest email revelations, just too many lies chasing her like Van Helsing on Dracula.

Can't beat Trump..... really? Based on what? The e-mail issue? I think you are assigning way too much significance to this?

You do realize that the Dems have an incredible electorate college weighting heading into the election. They pretty much start with 242 EV votes. While its not impossible for the Republicans to win; its pretty hard for them to do so. While she could lose, she is not facing a "total slaughter"; thinking such is border-line delusional.

We have two candidates with ridiculously high net negatives. Don't overly focus on the net negatives of the other person, because you candidate is rotten as well. The e-mail issue pales in to all of the baggage that Trump brings to the table.
