Has your marriage changed since SCOTUS ruling?

My marriage

Oh bull****, marriage is between one man and one woman. Even Obama said that, before it became politically expedient to flip flop. Typical of leftists to try and paint opposition to SSM as similar to racist bigotry. Libs can't seem to make a point without lying. There is nothing for me to heal from.
That used to be the definition. It used to be between a white man and woman or a black man and woman. The rules have changed. Obama like many people over the years have changed their opinion. This is not a flip flop this is gaining wisdom of the culture and people. It is finding discrimination and hate facing it. It is not similar to racist bigotry. The bigotry part is the same the racist could be change to orientation bigotry. IMO.

Yes or no, and why if yes. Please.

How long have you been married?

Did the SSM ruling by SCOTUS somehow change your marriage?

BTW, didja hear that Michelle Bachmann's husband Marcus - you know, the one who went through gay conversion therapy - filed for divorce after SCOTUS ruled on SSM?

Does it really matter if people accept your relationship? If so, why?

And between two people of the same gender. As of yesterday. Perhaps you didn't hear the news?

And it's expected that people aren't just going to accept words and institutions they hold dear being changed by force and against their will. I'm not saying it matters what they think, but this is much deeper then you're gay and they don't like you. In part at least it has nothing to do with you. I always got the feelings since this all began that the pro SSM side of the debate never really bothered to understand their opponents, and I see that hasn't changed. Not like I care, but it's a bit stupid to take the higher ground when you're ignorant.

Yes... They will be mocking the judicial interpretations exhibited by justices Alito and Scalia..

I doubt it. IF you and people who think as you do could have posted on an internet in the 1930s, you would have said the same thing about the decisions such as "WICKARD" that held that the commerce clause allowed congress to regulate a private individual growing wheat for his own private use on his own farm. and you would claim that anyone who opposed that decision would be mocked. Guess what, that decision is one of the most lampooned in the history of the Supreme court. Even scholars who liked the results find the reasoning bogus

It never has mattered if my relationship was/accepted. I really don't care about others relationships either. It's not my business. The law now sides with me but I have no intention of marriage as it really makes no difference. The love between the people is what counts no matter how many there are.

will be 11 years in about .... 6 weeks.

Glad to know there will be more miserable bastards soon.

I'm thinking of investing in gay divorce attorney businesses.

best line from LAW AND ORDER-somone asks ADA Jack McCoy what he thinks of gay marriage

"sure why not, they can be as miserable as the rest of us"

Indeed. It's the love of the people involved that matters, not the label on their relationship.

Of course most of us who are in a loving relationship don't really care what others think...but there are considerations e.g. being able to visit in the hospital, being able to access your partner's bank account if he or she passes away, and so forth.

You can apologize for the name calling in the last sentence. I see the reaction to this the same as civil rights when interracial marriage was made legal. Actually the percentage of people upset by that decision is higher than the percentage upset by this decision. This is not the first time people have had laws go against what they think or believe. Why are you saying the SSM side should understand the other side. We all grow up with the people who were against SSM. I know what they are thinking very well thanks.

What does "all interpretations" mean???

I don't understand.

Is it as simple as now, when you say you're married, you might be inclined to specify to a female?

I doubt we have seen the last of the argument about who is allowed to marry who. At this point I don't really care. The seal is broken and all types will pour in after lengthy battles. So be it.

I will be defining my marriage as traditional.

I had all of those things without benefit of a marriage license I went to a lawyer and she drew up the papers. Those issues you mention are important and not fun to deal with if you don't have a good attorney. Taking care of those issues without a marriage license is a hassle I sympathize with those who have that problem or had that problem as the case may be.

My answer which you responded to was pointed at this question and I was in no way taking those issues you stated lightly. Thanks

I don't think you really do. There is of course bigots that oppose it, but it's a mistake to conclude that all of them are bigoted. I also never apologize.

That label leads to idiots asking you about dumb things like marrying slaves.

Never apologizing would make you ignorant and this is the end of the discussion.

Yes, my wife decided that it was time again (Saturday night), to prove to me that she was a woman.

I am a true lesbian and proud of it.

It would make me not sorry. I don't say things that I regret.

Ooooh

Nice avatar.

Tell us about you.

Good on you. It takes a big man to never apologize.

No, it means I say what mean and see no reason to take it back. If I meant it, I meant it, and it needs to be said.
