I see no reason to assume that because these mothers are young and pretty that they are automatically stupid. For all either of us know, they could be successful professionals and skillful intellectuals who also care for their families.

Re: Are "Suburban American Women" Conservative or Liberal Voters?

The ones I know lean both ways. I would say it is a pretty even split.

Re: Are "Suburban American Women" Conservative or Liberal Voters?

What is your obsession with this topic, dude? How many threads have you made about this? 3 or 4 now?

As has been shown to you numerous times, American women in all demographics lean Democrat.

What is it about this subject that is so important to you? How have you managed to make this about yourself in such a way that you simply can't let the topic go without someone telling you the answer you want to hear?

Did I miss something? What's the significance of this poll (or the picture for that matter)?

Depends on the woman.

/thread.

He has a long history of trying to understand woman voters, and failing badly. I think his first mistake is he seems to think they do things en masse. The reality of course is much different.

I see (but not really). So the picture is his mental representation of women all looking and behaving alike?

Yeah. Apparently, younger women are democrats, then a hormonal change sets in and they turn republican once they get married.

Isn't this like the sixth or seventh time you've started a thread asking this same question?

Perhaps I missed something, but did he actually say that they were "stupid?"

Why is the assumption that he's trying to imply that these women are "stupid" the first thing you jump to simply because they're - as you say - "young and pretty," and happen to have babies on their hips? For that matter, why would their being "professionals" in any way ameliorate that (again, seemingly projected, on your own part) state of affairs?

Is there something wrong with a woman choosing to simply be a good mother?

To generalize, yes most suburban American women tend to lean towards the left.

Re: Are "Suburban American Women" Conservative or Liberal Voters?

I think a lot of it depends on where you live. They don't call them "red states" or "blue states" for a reason.

I live in the deep South. All my female neighbors are Conservatives. All of them.

I live in a small subdivision with 73 houses. I'd bet I could count on 3 fingers the number of women we have in this neighborhood that do not lean right.

Re: Are "Suburban American Women" Conservative or Liberal Voters?

I just realized a mistake I have in the above post. Can't edit it out now, unfortunately.

Are "Suburban American Women" Conservative or Liberal Voters?

Are you honestly naive enough to believe that you can group millions of different people from different races, backgrounds and experiences into a single category? Seriously? Do all American males vote the same as well?

Here's the flaw in your question, here. You're assuming Ryan thinks women are people. He doesn't appear to have met one, so he remains unconvinced of this until proven otherwise. I'm pretty sure he thinks we're robots with some pre-programmed settings that trigger at certain times.

Yes, but are all you women soulless liberal robots or soulless conservative robots? We need a clearly defined stereotype to throw rocks at.

Re: Are "Suburban American Women" Conservative or Liberal Voters?

I'm a suburban American woman and I'm conservative, as are all of my friends. That said, we're hardly representative of an entire country of women.

In 2012 Romney won the married women vote, 53% to 46%. That's a pretty big margin. Some of those women were in the cities and not the suburbs. In other words, nobody can answer this question.

According to Ryan's model of "the theoretical existence of women-folk and how it might affect political trends if they actually existed," my understanding of his theory is that women are programmed to re-enact scenes from Roman orgies in their youth for male entertainment until a man decides he'd like her decorating his kitchen, clubs her in the back of the head, and inserts his penor, at which point she becomes obediantly 17th century in her views to appease him.

I believe the genesis of Ryan's model is that he is trying to hypothesize ways one might actually acquire a woman, as the standard routes seem to have failed to produce the desired results. For best results, it would be helpful if women were mindless, so he assumes this to be true in his hypothesis. He seems to have constructed it a bit cart-before-horse.
