The gun violence problem in the USA will be solved eventually.
:doh
It is not a "gun violence" problem.
It is a violent criminal problem.

Probably more around like 800,000, but I'm going to tell you right now that I haven't thought in extensive detail what the exact number should be.

Many people haven't.

Obama cited increased gang violence and rape as a reason for increased illegal child immigration, which has risen by 90% recently according to another Time article linked in the one you provided. I think it's pretty clear that Central America has some issues of intense violence right now, and a country doesn't have to be officially at war for that to occur. If these children were displaced by extreme gang violence in their home countries that motivated mass emigration, it seems reasonable to include them within the definition of refugee.
So you support the inflated definition of refugee in order to allow people to abuse the refugee system. These countries have been like that for a long time.We do not fly in people from Columbia just because it its the cocaine capital of the world.

Maybe people won't choose to come here if we treat them so abusively,

It is not abusive to deny tresspassers things they are not entitled to.

but that won't simply get rid of people who currently live here
.

They come here for those things. So if you remove their ability to get those things then they will not have a reason to stay here illegally.

Firstly, conditions where they came from are so dire, that they are not going to return as long as the area is unstable. That's why they chose to immigrate illegally in the first place: they are desperate for a better life.

The only reason our country is currently better than their country is because right now they can get jobs, benefits and many other things. That is why they choose to illegally come and stay here.If you remove those things they immigrated here for then they have no reason to stay here.

Secondly, should they decide to leave, how are they going to even get to the border if you've removed their ability to obtain a driver's license?
These people came to this country illegally and are here illegally.I seriously doubt that they are worried about driving without a driver's licenses.

"Abuse"... These people are most likely to be killed or raped or both if they remain in their home country.

To be human comes with certain inalienable rights.

They're not going to leave unless they can go somewhere where they can access these necessities. That's why they're here in the first place.

Drug cartels are not on every city block in those countries

They are here illegally, they do not have a right to tax payer funded services, schools, licenses and etc.
They're not going to leave unless they can go somewhere where they can access these necessities.

They are not going to come here if they can not get those things here. Seeing how most of those people are here to earn money and send it back home then yes they will leave.
That's why they're here in the first place.

They are here because they can get a job, send their kids to school and exploit other benifits of being here illegally. You remove their ability to get those things then they won't come here nor will they stay here.

yes, no, maybe

Make it a capital crime to employ undocumented workers/ immigrants.

Anyone that voted "No" is obviously from Planet Stupid_

And so is anyone who believes such a law could ever get passed_

But what would work are heavy fines with mandatory jail time for repeat offenders!

The following link has a fail proof plan that would initiate a mass self-deportation of the majority of illegal aliens!
