it could be a step towards long term border stability. unfortunately, humans everywhere are still very tribal tend to think in terms of kingdoms, so the EU is no more of a panacea than the US is.
 
The European Union is in reality controlled by the semi-secret Bilderberg Group, which has an agenda of eugenics and world government directly derived from the Nazis, as the Bilderberg Group's founder and first leader was a Nazi, and then there was Operation Paperclip (Dulles) and Henry Kissinger, despite being Jewish, considering supporting a Nazi coup in West Germany. Even the Euro is part of the Bilderberg Group's agenda, as one European currency was suggested amongst the organization way back in 1955.

Apart from this genuine conspiracy, moreover, the European Union advances an overt agenda of abortion, glorified sodomy and dangerous political correctness in the face of broken families and a broken Western culture. If this continues, Muslims will be allowed, both by liberal immigration policies and politically correct rules about so-called "Islamophobia", and by divine wrath, to destroy the secular obscenity that has become European culture (and Blue State American culture also). The EU should be disbanded immediately by non-participation of all currently participating governments.

Im not aware of any border in the EU that is still seriously disputed on a state level (aside from Gibraltar of course)

I see the EU as a stooge of the ECB. I don't like banks running Nations. It reminds me of the Fed and IMF and World Bank. In the past when one accused banks of running Nations, it was considered CONSPIRACY THEORY. Now it is considered normal. What's up with that? Think!
