I do not understand why George W. Bush has only one vote.

Greetings, ConsvLiberal. :2wave:

Why did Obama get seven, when he has followed Bush's agenda in a lot of different areas?

Impeachment is thrown around much too casually these days.

It's kind of late to impeach Reagan now, he's been dead and buried for quite a while.

But now that I think about it a little - impeaching a zombified Reagan would make a pretty good movie.

I gave W a vote. He fixed the dot com bubble, was given a unique challenge with 9/11, tried to get congress to address the issue with social security and fannie and freddie before the realestate bubble but got no help from congress and screwed up in Iraq but was an exemplary Commander in Chief.

I also voted for Nixon who got us out of Vietnam, started Osha and the EPC. He was effective in working with congress and had the good sense to leave then his ethics were challenged.

Regardless, the casual claim damages our government.

Our government has survived the Civil War, 2 world wars and the assassination of several Presidents. I'm sure that it will survive anything that I post on the internet.

Nixon also gave us the 'frozen dollar', remember that?

Speaking only for myself, I always aspired to do something that would make our country better, rather than something that has a negative impact small enough for the country to survive.

Keep on trying, maybe someday you'll get there.

I would say JFK but he died just over 50 years ago. Really your list though is like asking which kind of topping you'd like with your **** sandwich

I voted LBJ. The last real liberal in the white house and pushed the civil rights and great society agenda and worked toward ending poverty. Republican will say wrong!! I don't care what they say since their only agenda is lowering taxes for trillionaires and corporations, and they wouldn't spit on the average working stiff or poor person. LBJ was wrong on Vietnam, but as many servicemen were killed under Nixon as were under LBJ. This, after Nixon made the ending the war such an issue for any of you who were not around at the time.

Who the heck would vote Reagan or Nixon as best presidents or best as anything? Iran Contra and dozens of felony convictions in Reagan administration, then Watergate under Nixon? Gotta be kidding.

yeah I remember what my late father said

He said

They told me that if I voted for Barry Goldwater we'd

a) get in a war we couldn't win, costing us thousands and thousands of lives and billions of dollars
b) we'd have race riots, skyrocketing crime and police brutality
c) the government would grow out of control and we'd have generations of people dependent on welfare

well he noted, they were right-I voted for Barry and we got all of that

BTW how did those "felony convictions" actually hurt you or the country?

do you know what the black illegitimacy rate was before "the Great Society" (LOL)?
after it?

I despise LBJ but I credit you for recognizing that he was the last real liberal in the White House and a extremely competent one at that, able to push through his agenda better than anyone since.

But I calculate 36,756 US killed in Vietnam during the LBJ years and 21,195 in the Nixon years. And that is giving LBJ a pass on the troops killed in January, 1969 and Nov. and Dec. 1963, while charging Nixon for the early Jan 1969 losses. Every year the number of US service personnel killed in Vietnam dropped under Nixon (Unlike the Afghanistan figures for Obama who did escalate the war significantly).

Reagan hands down. Expanded the public sector by massive amounts and in doing so via the military spending gave us the modern IT sectors.

Ronald Reagan was the greatest Socialist to ever live. He spent more on government than Hitler and Stalin combined.

Money well spent.

That's a pretty terrible list.

I choose Clinton though.
