Heh heh. Yeah, he was completely uninvolved with the whole set up. The President of the United States of America, giving a HUGE press conference, leaves something like that to the whims of others.
It is possible that the WH arranged it in advance. But the POTUS has his plate so full of more important matters that his schedule is often subdivided into five minute segments. What you are doing says more about you than Bushy. He isn't petty like that. Libs, (by virtue of their mental hard wiring from the factory) typically are. I think you are projecting your own pettiness onto him. People self reference like that all the time. But it's not always a good thing.
The crew of the ship probably did it and maybe cleared it with the WH liaisons beforehand.
Whoosh! It was a joke about Nixon giving the 'V' sign. Oh, you are a fun one. You take yourself so overly seriously you're blinded.
Oh, I don't take MYSELF all that seriously. But I DO take facts seriously and am used to others, (like yourself?) playing fast and loose with them so that the danger is that others may take your words to be facts when they aren't, and make a decision which could be very serious based on that inaccuracy.
Case in point.
Early today I heard Glenn Beck say he just read a Tweet which said the Queen had died. I immediately posted a thread to that effect. And then after posting it, I looked online for substantiation.
Then, to my horror, I discovered that the Tweet was a false alarm.
The excuse was that a BBC reporter was making a "Test Tweet" in preparation for when the Queen actually DOES die.
I amended the thread as quickly as I could to reflect what happened, but it was an example of how someone who may have esteemed the truth too lightly caused ripples felt thousands of miles away and by maybe hundreds of thousands of people.
Words have impact.
Facts determine others' actions.
You guys are too young, inexperienced, dumb and so often so persistently unconcerned about the important things in life that you treat facts as options to be used or not or paid attention to or not, as it pleases you.
And that means I, who value veracity, feel compelled to correct inaccuracies for the record.
Because it matters.
And that I am quite serious about.
Online, all we have is our credibility.
