Is Hillary avoiding the press?
You won’t believe Hillary Clinton’s spin on avoiding the press - The Washington Post

1. The vast majority of the people who have asked Clinton questions in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada were part of a pre-selected group who sat with her around a roundtable. That's not exactly like hosting a town hall event in which none of the questions are pre-screened. And if you look at the questions "regular" people are asking Clinton, they are not exactly the most probing of queries. A sampling: "I’m just wondering, what can you do to bring that heart back to education in the United States?" (Iowa), "What are your plans to help my community and help us not live in fear anymore?" (Nevada) and "I would like you to elaborate on what you think you might do for childcare in the future if you’re elected?" (New Hampshire) None of those questions are bad, per se, but they also aren't pushing Clinton in any way, shape or form on any issue.
Yes-No - Maybe?

Yes, she is. She's unrunning.

Absolutely. Campaigns are becoming much more insulated -- everyone is terrified of making the Big Gaffe that will doom them. Until a serious challenger to Hillary emerges, her campaign has no real reason to do anything that could risk message control.

Sad reality of politics today.

Clearly, she is and I suspect as a matter of strategy. Moreover it has been noticed enough that it should be an indication how she would operate assuming she is ever President. Secrecy, a total lack of transparency, and designed avoidance of the media and voting public. You have to remember, Hillary is above all an opportunistic dubious politician who seems to sincerely believe in a modern day government aristocracy. To the extreme point that her collections of wealth, and her supporter's wealth, are entirely justified but her political opposition's wealth is the express reason others do not have wealth. We should all be terrified if she ever gets in office and conducts her Presidency with the same mannerisms as her failed attempt at Hillarycare.

Not only is she successfully avoiding the press but the press is, by and large, letting her avoid them.

Heya Ockham. :2wave: Judicial Watch isn't letting her avoid them. Nor is the AP. Both have been filing suit. Plus now Big Labor has released Docs on their Contributions to the Clinton Foundation. Which we know that's for Political activity.

I think we are going to keep seeing the media drag all this out.....its when others start getting dragged in, when Hillary's real troubles begin. Now more and more are getting dragged in.

Confirmed: Weapons Were Moving Through Benghazi to Syria

Today, Fox News' Catherine Herridge is reporting on documents showing weapons were in fact being trafficked between the two countries. Further, Herridge reports another aspect in which the White House lied about the attack.

A Defense Intelligence Agency memo from Sept. 16, 2012, concluded that the Benghazi terror attack was planned at least 10 days in advance to coincide with 9/11 and was in retaliation for a drone strike that killed an al Qaeda strategist. The memo was copied to the National Security Council, the State Department and the CIA. “The intention was to attack the consulate and to kill as many Americans as possible to seek revenge for the [U.S.] killing of Aboyahiye (Alaliby) in Pakistan and in memorial of the 11 September 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center buildings,” the memo said.

Judicial Watch obtained the memos by suing in federal court.....snip~

The press says she's avoiding them so, yes.

It's a strategy. Every time she opens her mouth her poll numbers drop so she's meeting liberals and being as liberal as possible until she is nominated, then she'll dive to the center being the moderate candidate in the race. She's not trustworthy.

Of course she is-the closer scrutiny she receives the worse she looks. She also knows that the more she appears in public-the worse her ratings get, hence her "soft" roll out of her campaign.

My guess is even Hillary voters will admit she is avoiding the press. I am sure there is some convoluted strategy behind it.

Yes, Hillary is most certainly avoiding the press and answering their questions. It's been reported that she's answered a total of 8 questions from the press.

Seems that she believes she deserves the Democratic nomination coronation, rather than an earnest primary campaign, but then, who's she running against? Anyone serious?

The really sad part is that so many of her supporters also don't see a need to question the coronation.

The reality is that none of these questions are going to go away, and they'll no doubt come up in the general election, at which point she'll have to answer them. Or not, if she believes that she is so richly deserving of the presidential coronation as well. Answering them during the general, or not, isn't going to improve her position in the polls or the election results.

In short, I think she's probably shooting herself in the foot in the long run.

Ohhh yes she is. Its obvious as day.

Yes. Hillary is avoiding the press.

Don't look a gift-horse in the mouth.

Just like Walker and the other dozen or so clowns taking soft ball questions.

Only Bush has had the balls to put himself out there.

And his own GOP have cut his throat for it .

Morning Eohrnberger

I don't think most of those who will vote for her will even know about all the questions she refuses to answer.

Bernie's not afraid of the press. That's the difference of being consistent and confident in your position. Hillary is far to untrustworthy for the presidency.

Sounds about right to me.

What possible reason would she have not to avoid the press? She has nothing to gain and everything to lose.

Mornin DA. :2wave: Do you think she should be allowed to get away with showing all this disrespect to the American people? Walking around as if she is above the law. Avoiding answering for her behavior and her **** ups. Do you think she should walk around and show the American people she comes before the Country and everyone else in it?

Its time for Hillary to suffer the consequences of her actions.....her, any working for her, and Any supporting her.

Its clear she is avoiding the Press.....but the press can be motivated to do their job. Moreover.....those she has chosen to travel along with her. Needs to be replaced. No more pre planned questions for Hillary. Only way it stops is with people pushing the press to do their job. Or get scooped by a nobody.

In a sense, I cannot say that I blame her .. So much of our press is crap !

If this were a Republican, the press would be talking about nothing but this issue, every minute of every day. Wonder why that's not happening....

Hillary can not stand up to the scrutiny of legitimate questioning.
