What do you think about Condoleezza Rice as President?

Not going to happen. I have Great respect for her, but I doubt she would be a strong candidate for elective office. I guess a VP slot is always a possibility, but unlikely I guess.

What do you think about her politics?

Well, I appreciate the fact she is moderate and fairly independent, but I would not wish to put a person in office who shares responsibility for invading Iraq.

Oh, the mushroom cloud lady chickenhawk? no thanks.

What do you think about her politics?
Much as it is with Hillary Clinton .. an unknown .. I'd have to see some "position papers" .
Its extremely wasteful to begin a presidential election campaign so soon before the election , one year before it should begin .. With my concept of campaign and campaign finance reform, the seeking of votes should not occur until 60 days before the election .. with "government" funds only and that .. very much limited .

From the limited amount of data, she seems to have a cool head for decision making.
I think she has said she is not interested.

no votes, of course
I simply do not know .. After I think I know something, I'll decide , and not before , usually .

What makes somebody a Great Secretary of State does not necessarily make them a Great President.

What do you think about Condoleezza Rice as President?

Not my decision, but I'd say no. I have respect for the woman and her style, but she's said repeatedly she's not interested and I take her at her word.

That said, hasn't America suffered enough from selecting a supposedly brilliant academic as President the past 6 plus years?

She's made it very clear that she's not interested. Too bad, since she would be hands down the best President we have had in a 100 years or more. Smart, lots of good leadership experience, knows her way around The Hill, well respected internationally. I'd love to see her in the Oval Office, but the chances of it happening are very slim since she's stated that she's not interested in the job.

I agree. Brilliant person, but would get annihilated by the politics of trying to run for President.

Wait, the one who said nobody could have predicted that planes would be used as missiles.

The one who said that the sixteen words in Bush's SOTU Address that Joe Wilson said were lies, should have been acknowledged as false.

The one who said, do we have to wait for the smoking gun in the form of a mushroom cloud over a US city.

No. Let's not recycle losers.

Not well respected by anybody other than the fringe right.

Not going to happen.

When people think of her they think of G.W. Bush.

Case closed.

Pretty much. I had thought of her as George's lap dog, not as cute though.

Well, she is very well educated, a very intelligent person, obtuse and some other big word I can't think of at the moment, but she plays the piano very well too. As presidential candidate or even as VP, yikes!

Without rhetoric or "she's a conservative, so I hate her" type arguments, explain to us why she wouldn't make good President. Here's a list of her stances on a variety of issues. Take the time to get educated on what she believes and then make a decision. My guess is that you won't and will use something along the lines of "I wouldn't waste my time with that." as an excuse.

What do you think about Condoleezza Rice as President?
No idea. She hasn't discussed running, she hasn't stated any policy positions in the context of running for office. There's also a big difference between policy advisor and elected official.

I think she could handle the pressure of the office. On the other hand, every time I heard her voice on the radio, she sounded like a nervous wreck. Go figure. ;)

What do you think about Condoleezza Rice as President?

I disagree with enough of her politics and actions that I couldn't vote for her. However, I do think she is tremendously intelligent and competent. She would be the strongest Republican in the field by a country mile. She'd never win of course, but the best candidate never does, so what's new.
