Please don't vote for "other" without specifying. Thank you.

Don't ask me to define "best". That's up to you.

"best" is just much too vague. 3Best" according to what criterion or measurement?

Texas is the best large country

Antarctica!

How do you know unless you have lived abroad? I'll stick with the good ol USA

My backyard.

Too broad a question.

All of them have positives and negatives and depending on certain metrics a few of these could be "best".

Australia.

I wouldn't count nations where the bulk of the population is concentrated in a handful of urban centers (like France and South Korea) as "large countries".

Australia is physically large but its population is way to small.

Totally silly question, hence my answer isn't serious.

France - best wine, best food, best lovers.

Countries have their good and bad points, and suit certain populations better than others. And everything is totally subjective and depends on your standpoint.

How old is the OP? My dad's bigger than your dad :nahnah:

America obviously. All those other countries are clown shoes.

Of course, it is important to know what "best" refers to.

We have and it is Canada.
Odd how it did not make the listing?

Japan is 61st by size
Germany 62nd.
UK 79th

2nd largest country on the planet by land mass isnt in the choices.
If going by population Indonesia isnt there.
If going by economy again why not Indonesai?
How can we pick the best large country if your criteria for large countries doesnt make sense?

Australia

Australia cant be the best everything is trying to kill you there, getting killed is generally not considered a good thing

Where the hell is Canada?

Each one has it's pro's and cons. I'm assuming "big" is based on population and not land mass. Given other high population countries like China, Indonesia, India, Japan, etc I would still prefer to live in America. It's far far more affordable that other western nations and is very diverse. There are beaches, mountains, canyons, plains, even tundra if you like that (with Alaska). There are many unique and distinct cities and centers of culture like NYC, LA, Chicago, San Francisco, DC, Dallas, etc. The diversity can sometimes be a problem because I feel that each region has it's own spats and prejudices against the others, but overall I think it's a good thing and provides for numerous opportunities. With higher wages, lower cost of living, typically much more affordable housing and diverse regions I'd say America is the "best" large country, and not just because this is where I live.

As far as "best" in best at all things, no country has claim to that.

Canada may be much smaller by population, but overall I believe they have a better culture. If I didn't have to take a cut in wages I would strongly consider immigrating there as I do like the country and I'd still be close to home near my family.
