Prediction Time - Will Hillary Survive the Scandals?

Where does Hillary end the 2016 campaign?

Its denial. The same denial seen around here the night of the last mid-terms.

I'll admit, I've never seen anyone reach so low as to insist that low voter turnout meant that everyone who didn't vote should be counted for their side. It was... surreal.

Warren isn't in a good position either.

That's silly.

I welcome the democrats realization that they didn't cultivate a competitive candidate pool, that will happen after the Republican candidate wins.

Republicans don't have a "competitive candidate pool" either. They have Trump, who was basically a Democrat until it was no longer convenient, and Jeb Bush. Everyone else in their side of the isle is just kind of hanging around waiting for whatever scraps fall of the table.

You think if the inspections become criminal, Biden comes in as the "savior figure" promising the One-Term?

Here's one problem I see with Biden, the one term thing. It may limit who Biden may be able to attract for VP and cabinet positions. Given her present performance Warren, as a senator, will have increased power and respect in 2020. If she is committed to making a difference in terms of Wall Street and corporate accountability, and I do believe that she sincerely is, she may be more effective in the senate in the long term than as VP to a one term President.

There are no guarantees that Warren, or any Biden VP, will be elected President after Biden's one term is completed. Hell, there's no guarantee Biden wouldn't change his mind and run a second term.

The same argument might be made for some cabinet positions.

The one term marketing of Biden's candidacy is likely a double edged sword. It's also likely a load of bovine feces.

Not silly. Democrats have decided to stop pretending they aren't essentially socialists. Sanders does that. What is Warren spouting that Sanders is not?

And take a look-you may not like the Republicans, but they have fostered a varied and large group, one of whom is likely to be the next President.

It's silly, Warren is in a great position to run.

When all else fails, why do you always go back to making baseless accusations about people being socialists?

And take a look-you may not like the Republicans, but they have fostered a varied and large group, one of whom is likely to be the next President.

Lmao, that's even sillier than the previous statement. At the end of the day, having an entire clown car of people doesn't mean much if we all know that Jeb Bush is going to be the nominee. We both know half of the people running on the Republican side are not palatable to most of the population (everyone at that kiddy table debate, Huckabee etc), a 4th have no chance in hell of winning (Christie, Paul, Rubio, Kasich) and the rest are simply trying to come from under either Trump or Bush's shadow(Walker). To continue to make a big deal out of what is essentially a large group of people who for the most part don't have a chance of making it past the first primary just makes you look desperate for some kind of argument to avoid the inevitable realization that the GOP has already chosen its candidate and it will be Bush III. :)

You lefties keep saying Bush will be the nominee, don't be so sure-about him or Hillary.

Hey, we can have a friendly wager on the matter if you feel strong enough about your beliefs. :)

Actually, not trusting you to the point of not accepting a bet is entirely consistent with my beliefs.

USC, if you don't really feel firm in your beliefs about the election, you don't have to accept the wager. Nobody will think of you as a coward. People refuse challenges all of the time on this forum. :)

Ask me again in August 2016. I have no idea what the "field" of remaining candidates will look like. I mean, who'd have thought a charismatic, unqualified empty suit would end up as president in 2008? I prefer my new presidents to have more than a zero learning curve, but in this race we've got even more unqualified candidates at the top of many polls. As for the democrats, who knows who will pop out of a hat, like Obama did, and make the electorate swoon? Not me. I haven't a clue.

So ask me again next year!

I'd put Warren in a much better position than Biden to do this.

I would too but I think she doesn't want anything to do with the presidency.
