Re: Should a Muslim Owned Business Be Legally Permitted to Refuse Service to Gay Peop
As opposed to deflecting from the questions/observations I asked, let's stay focused on the point.
Given the documented evidence Muslims have shown discriminatory actions against LGBT couples/individuals, and given the fact their faith is practiced in some countries in ways that could be fatal to LGBT couples and individuals, why are Muslim owned businesses not the source of confrontation by activists, as opposed to Christian owned businesses? You've conveniently excused away the bakery example, so where are the others?
Shouldn't all businesses owned by members expressing faiths, and potentially at odds with LGBT attempts to change standards, be subject to the same scrutiny? Why aren't activists documenting discrimination by Muslim owned businesses, or, are you suggesting there are no Muslim owned businesses who would discriminate?
We aren't ignoring that fact at all. It is despicable and wrong. However it is also happening in other countries and there is not much we can do about it that isn't already being done. There is something we can do about discrimination businesses here in the US participate in.
Which case involving same sex couples reporting/suing businesses that denied them was a setup?
