Good question. Still trying to figure out how they thought massive government stimulus was going to create jobs and a strong economy. Or Obamacare would solve healthcare issues. And most recently, a jobs fair for jihadists to stop terrorism. It's 625 days till the next presidential election. God help us.

possibly, but we have modern examples of this happening.... and we have plenty of examples of their supporters opposing them accountable for their lies, even when it is proven they have lied under oath.

Because most of them are either really young (they're progressives because they're naïve and idealistic), really poor (they're progressives because they want free handouts), or really strung out on drugs (they're progressives because they're pot-smoking ex-hippies who can't let go of the freewheeling LSD-induced dreams of their John Lennon inspired youth).

That doesn't describe ALL lefties, but it captures most of them.

Conservatives, on the other hand, are typically people with life experience, jobs, and a sense of personal responsibility. Those people are not going to be as naïve and easy to manipulate.

The older people get the more likely they are to identify as independents, especially with men. Women tend to consistently support the democrats regardless of their age over the GOP.

Virginia, according to the poll has 39% C, 37% M and 20% L

Now looking at the poorest states, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Idaho are in the top 10 conservative states, but West Virginia 44% conservatives, South Carolina 44% conservatives, New Mexico 39% C, Kentucky 41% C, Montana 44% C, Maine 36% C

Sorry, but on evidence, the Richest states seem to be more moderate/liberal states and the poorest states conservative, or more conservative states.

The states you identify as the "poorest" also have the highest numbers of minorities (blacks in the southern states, Mexicans and Native Americans in New Mexico).
