No, you answer me. Are you calling me a liar?

By the rules of the site, she isn't allowed to call you a liar.

She is allowed to scrutinize your dubious statement, and she is doing so, because your statement was ****ing dubious.

By your reaction thus far, it only makes your assertion more dubious.

No, you answer me. Are you calling me a liar?

I haven't called you anything. You started a poll and told a story about you, a middle aged man, picking up birth control pills that your doctor prescribed to you, and how great Obamacare is because these pills should have cost $125 but because of the ACA, they're free.

You put the story out there. Now please say what the name of this birth control pill for middle aged men that's covered because of the ACA is.

I tell you what. Your profile says you are a woman that lives in New England. Give me your full name, social security number, driver's license number, and your bank account number so that I can verify that you are telling the truth. Then I will consider answering your question. Got it?

Alright you've convinced me - you're lying.

I really don't care what you think. Your claim that I have made a dubious assertion is dubious. Prove that I am lying. You simply can't do it. You could not do it if you had one trillion dollars at your disposal to do the research to find out.

This board is a debate board. You make posts, you have to be prepared to be questioned when your post makes no sense at all. And unlike you asking me for my name and Social Security number, which even if I wanted to provide them is as far as I know against the rules of this board, you could provide the name of this prescription. But you won't. Because you can't.

It's obvious from your responses that your story wasn't true. I'm surprised that I'm the first one who noticed that it couldn't possibly be a true story. There are no male birth control pills in the US insurance market. They have been in development for a few years and won't even be available until 2017.

This board is indeed a debate board. And since you want me to provide you personal information, you give me yours so that I can know who I am indeed talking to.

The name of this prescription you say you got for "free" is not personal information.

I want a free boob job, and my self esteem is low because I found another gray hair. How about a trip to the beauty salon?

The name of this prescription you say you got for "free" is not personal information.

Yes it is, and if you are not going to give me the information I asked you for, I am not going to consider giving you the information you asked me for. It is as simple as that.

Oh, believe me I am a taxpayer. I pay thousands of dollars in income tax every year. One year I paid $20,000, so I don't want to hear that crap.

So you paid out $20,000 so you could save $125. Good deal.

I don't have to provide you with my personal information. I'm not trying to prove anything. There isn't a thread or a debate about who I am and where I live. You, however, started a thread claiming to have gotten a medicine prescribed by your doctor that doesn't exist. I called it out. As it turns out, I was correct.

If you want to make a claim about the ACA benefitting you, make it, but don't make up obviously untrue anecdotes to make your case.

Since you are demanding personal information from me, I want to know who you really are. I want to check to see who exactly I am giving personal information to.

I am confident that what I am putting forward is true. So confident as a matter of fact that I would bet my life on it. Are you willing to bet your life that I am lying? I don't think so.

You're a middle aged man, and you're picking up "some birth control pills"? What doctor is prescribing birth control pills to a middle aged man?

Why are you assuming the pills were for him?
He could have been picking them up for his wife or daughter who are covered under his plan.

My husband often picks up my scripts for me.
Our prescription insurance saves him lots of out of pocket expenses.

I'm on Lantus Solostar, 25 units per day, 1000 mg of Metformin 2 times per day. There, I just gave you personal information about me. Now, the name of your prescription is....?

That's not the information I asked you for. Again, I am willing to put my life on the line that what I said is true. Are you willing to put your life on the line that I am lying? If you did, you would be dead. And I am willing to put my life on the line that that statement is true as well.

Then why didn't he say that? And why wouldn't he say it while I was asking repeatedly? He says it's personal information to name the prescription.

This isn't a referendum on the ACA, Minnie. This is a debate board. Personal anecdotes are challenged.

I don't need to provide my social security number, etc. You told a story about a prescription. Can you please post the name of this prescription that should have cost $125 but is now free thanks to the ACA? It's easy to do and it's not personal information, as evidenced by the fact that I just posted prescriptions that I get.

If you look at the original quote he never said the pills were him.
He said he picked up birth control pills and found out that because he had insurance the pills that would have cost $125 without insurance were Free.

It was personal information. Doctors can't give such information out on patients because it is indeed personal. You gave personal information. If you want the information from me, you will have to give me the information I asked for first. You simply cannot prove that I am lying. It's just not there.

EXACTLY!!!!

That's why it is an idiotic demand.

That's nice Minnie. Then maybe now that you've helped him, he'll say who the pills were, and what their name is. Some of us challenge personal anecdotes that don't have obvious truth to them, as this one does, and when someone asks a question with an easy answer the poster usually provides the easy answer.

And most posters don't demand another poster's name, address, social security number and bank information in exchange for an answer to a question that gives no personal information. Have fun covering for this one and participating in what is obviously a troll poll.

There is nothing to cover for because I am telling the truth. On the other hand you have said that I have not told the truth, and that is false. That's where this issue stands, in truth.
