But he would demean me for posting superfluous crap.

Fascinating intellectual pretzelfark you walked yourself into.

In the position of a pastor, yes, King most likely would have told you, you were out of line to demean another over their ability to spell.

Except that he was above such petty things.....

In the eyes of a pastor, there's nothing petty about another individual demeaning another because all are created in the image of God. Now if you want me to continue this we will have to take it to the Religious Forum.

Because of who King was, what you stated earlier would not jive.

so King wouldn't criticize (whoever it was) that spelled Barak(sic) wrong, but he would criticize me for criticizing them (accordingly). Funny, he seems to endorse (per your view) ultra petty criticism as viable, but minor petty criticism as unacceptable.

Like I said, you have a fascinating world view (not that I agree with it).

As to continuing, you take it where you want. That's your failure, not mine.

Most would agree that criticizing an individual for misspelling a name is petty.
To invoke King, a pastor, as being so petty is over the top.

and yet you invoke that he would criticize the criticizer of a petty thing.

Odd priorities he has......

To understand King, you must first understand his faith. To demean another over such pettiness would be unacceptable.

yet you're saying he would demean me for doing so.

I Love it.

Feedback loops, confusing GOP voters since..... well the dawn of time.

No out of love he would show you the error of your ways. He would not get on a public forum and demean you. He would out of love for you, in private, urge you to let go of such pettiness. Because his faith teaches him to love all even their enemies.

Yet just a page ago you said literally--- the opposite.

Fascinating. Going out of your way to defend a guy who you now claim would flipflop on a forum to settle a score.

Re: Is the Obama Presidency proof that the U.S. is not ready for a black President?

It shows that grossly incompetant bufoons have no business being allowed in the white house.

Grossly incompetent buffoons have no right to disrespect their President!

Re: Is the Obama Presidency proof that the U.S. is not ready for a black President?

No! Obama's presidency proves that America isn't ready for a total ****ing idiot for president.

Total ****ing idiots shouldn't bash their own President!

I haven't flip flopped in the slightest. Nor have I suggested King would. You posted comments that were out of character of King when you stated he would have been ashamed of someone who could not even spell Obama's name correctly.
I called you on it as it would have been out of his nature to do such a thing.
Now if you can't come to grips with that, oh well.

Re: Is the Obama Presidency proof that the U.S. is not ready for a black President?

Grossly incompetent buffoons have no right to disrespect their President!

Would that have been your position when one of the Bushes was President? Will that be your position the next time we have a Republican President?

In any event, it's wrong. Everyone has the right to disrespect anyone. There is nothing so special about the President nor any other public servant that entitles him to the respect of his rightful masters.

backpedal dot gif when I need it?

glad to see your misogyny on parade.

No, nobody has the right to disrespect another person, especially the POTUS! Shows how ignorant they are!

BTW, although I regret it, I voted for Bush!

The First Amendment to this nation's Constitution clearly asserts otherwise. I have an absolute right to disrespect anyone, including the PUTZ.

Re: Is the Obama Presidency proof that the U.S. is not ready for a black President?

No, it doesn't. And I think I explained why. Devolving to yes it is / no it isn't and name calling really wont advance rational discourse.

Your "observations" suggest rational discourse is not a goal you're interested in pursuing. Citing some unknown guy at a bank, or some people at a diner as proof of a universal truth even with your attempted disclaimer, is the definition of bigotry, which many who follow the same line of logic appear anxious to be associated with.

Calling out "liar" may have been a breach of decorum, but it's not proof of that which you claim.

You've proved nothing other than to underscore the pathetic effort to use race as a foil against legitimate complaint and concern.

By all means continue so others can see your claims positioned against those who risked so much to gain the equality and respect they should have had in the first place.

Shame on those who are too intellectually vacant that they would try to draw a connection and parallel.

Yes, and it's a pitiable tactic that will ultimately backfire, I think.

Re: Is the Obama Presidency proof that the U.S. is not ready for a black President?

Grossly incompetent buffoons have no right to disrespect their President!

:raises eyebrow: So you would have called for (for example) the arrest of the anti-war protestors, back during the Bush era?

Hi, this is America, welcome aboard all. As a public service announcement for any self-described progressives in the group who sometimes have trouble with this, we have a Constitution here, and we tend to think it's important. It includes a whole list of things that we say that A) we have the right to and B) government isn't allowed to mess with. For example, you not only have the right to free speech, but your explicit right to disrespect any part of your government is enshrined in the Very First Amendment! Now, on your left you will notice the Statue of Liberty as we enter into New York harbor....

Re: Is the Obama Presidency proof that the U.S. is not ready for a black President?

I liked this post because I assumed it was ironic, and that you realized how utterly, incoherently, idiotic that accusation was.

Re: Is the Obama Presidency proof that the U.S. is not ready for a black President?

Well, I'm glad you just doubled down on record that race relation issues no longer exist in America.

Oh why were you going to try and think for me.....I never said that race relations no longer exist in America. Nor did I even come close to doubling down.

Were you looking to embellish on what isn't even a fact with myself?

Ever hang out and around Black people or Latinos? I doubt it.....as that grammar and spelling issue you like to play with. As well as the PC issue. Wouldn't even be conversation starter.

Re: Is the Obama Presidency proof that the U.S. is not ready for a black President?

When someone says you are desperate, it could be a sign that they are desperate and are merely projecting their feelings onto you.

Not only that, I have noticed that when some start CONSTANTLY using words like stupid, idiotic, and absurd, it's a sign that they have been put in some sort of mental anxiety because what you have said has a point and it is disturbing to their mind.
