My brother in law served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Friends served there too (or family of friends). Let's hope the next one is not going to be another "idiot". And Yes, that includes Biden (please not him), Ben Carson, Michelle Bachman, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, Peter King, Jeff Boss, Howard Dean, George Clooney or Rahm Emanuel.

Clearly there is a vocal racist minority that wasn't ready, but no, quite the opposite. The fact that Obama was elected as president twice is definitive proof that America, on the whole, was ready.

Our issues with awakening racism and social cohesion concerns is again about his character, and the character of those around him. It is then similar to saying we would be ready for a female President. The right female President, because in the end it all comes down to what defines the person and not some list of physical attributes.

Think back to Martin Luther' King's famous speech, in which he speaks of a day when men will be judged by the content of their character, and not the color of their skin.

Barak Obama certainly exemplifies the opposite of this dream—a man of empty and corrupt character, elevated to this nation's highest office on the basis of the color of his skin; and defended, not on the basis of his failed policies, but on the color of his skin. I think Mr. King would be deeply ashamed, if he were still alive, of the example that Obama has set.

I think Dr King would be far more ashamed that an American citizen-- with the financial and assumed intellectual acumen to connect to the internet-- would not be able to spell the name of a sitting POTUS.

Actually Dr Martin Luther King.....was never petty and running around complaining about how people spell nor did he talk about the grammar people used.

He was able to figure that out.....during one of the most violent times in the History of the nation.

Its a shame today.....those on the left still can't figure that out. But don't worry.....one day they will run into one that will help them with their problem.

Actually, since (according to the RIGHT....) race issues in this country no longer exist, I am sure we can focus on Dr King's secondary messages such as education.

Yeah you might want to.....since the left is always playing about spelling and grammar. Notice how those two things are NOT pushed out on the streets with interaction between people.

Must be something about actual reality that just puts certain things into actual perspective, huh.

I doubt that would even be a concern with King. He wasn't so petty. King was a well educated pastor. Usually pastors don't go around demeaning a person over their shortcomings. But he would probably point out the heartlessness of those who do.
