Should Sarah Palin become a member of Congress?

Do you want Sarah Palin to become a member of Congress?

I like Sarah Palin, but she hadn't "read" the law either.

I don't think she knows how to read, that is why I love her so much. We progressives have a soft spot for special needs folks.

And...as I said...I'm not interested in your whining about the media. I'm talking about you.

This is what you said:

I asked you this:

So...are you now telling me that the reason WHY someone quits DOES make a difference? Or, in your opinion, does it only not make a difference if you're talking about Palin?

Are you applying different standards depending on the person?

Are you accusing me of favoring Obama over Palin?

No, but she should absolutely run so that Democrats have a chance of winning in Alaska. ;)

In all seriousness, literally the only important issue I agree with Palin on is the oil tax she established in Alaska, and that has no relevance when we're talking about the federal government, so a strong no without hesitation from me.

Are you accusing me of favoring Obama over Palin?

Not at all.

However, I suspect you are applying different standards to her than the ones you apply to him...at least, in regard to quitting their jobs.

Why did Obama quit those other jobs? Was it because people said mean things about him and quit being in political office altogether? Was it because he wanted to make money on book deals do guest spots on MSNBC instead of holding office? Or did he quit because he moved into a higher office?

Sarah Palin, for all her flaws, has been an excellent salesperson for the State of Alaska. Most Americans, below the 49th Parallel, haven't a clue about Alaska and Sarah put it on the map and put issues related to Alaska on the agenda. I could see her being a great advocate for her State unlike a lot of Congress critters who get to Washington and forget where they came from.

She ****ed that state squarely in the @$$

I put other, as I would have chosen "yes, because I could use a good laugh."

Yeah, now when people think of Alaska they think of crazy Palin--not a positive connotation. I'm sure Alaskans love her for that association.

So...even though you said this...

It doesn't matter what theory you want to believe in why she quit. The fact she quit her term as governor made her a quitter.Someone who can not be trusted to complete her term in office.

...you ARE willing to make allowances for Obama's quitting.

Thank you for your honesty in answering my questions.

Your answer is...yes.

They are not different standards depending on the person. Most elected officials that quit their term in office is due to the fact they moved into a higher office, basically its like they got promoted. No such thing happened with Palin. She quit because people said mean things about her or because her office interfered with their book deals and TV spots. Any elected official who quit the same reasons Palin quit will be treated the same.

Not me. I think of many other things first.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...blah, blah, blah...

You've already made your hypocrisy quite clear...don't bother trying to spin things.

Quitting you term in office because you were elected to a higher office is not the same thing as quitting because someone said mean things about you or because the office interfered with your book deals and tv spots.

Why do you keep repeating yourself? It does nothing to excuse your hypocrisy.

I voted maybe because I'm not sure of everyone who is running. Off hand I would say no and would admit that I won't vote for her. I think she is outdated and too far from the political sphere to really contend in any election. Other than her fan club pushing her into the spotlight she's not really relevant anymore. I think she should continue to live her life and let the country be run by real politicians really. That maybe comes back in here though - if it was between her and a Democrat I'd vote for her. The Democrats have done enough to this nation and I don't believe anyone, much less Palin, could hurt us anymore than they have already.

She wouldn't be worse than any of the other nit wits who got elected.

Ask Alaska Tourism what they think of Sarah Palin, her impact on Alaska's profile, and her show highlighting life in Alaska.

This is a public poll that does not require declaring an ideological loyalty. Do you think Sarah Palin would be a good member of Congress?

I actually said years ago that she would have done better to run for Senator from Alaska. As a Senator she would have wielded a fair amount of power, and such an election would have been a probable win for her at that time.

So in other words, you don't know and neither does anyone else. She never talks about what she would do which is why you can't say anything about her ideas. She has none.
That is a bit of an assumption, we truly do not know what any representative will do once elected.
I would not likely vote for Sarah Palin for several reasons,
not knowing what her values are would not be among them.
She has been abundantly clear where she stands, she is a social conservative.
On the plus side, she would be unlikely to be involved in corruption.

Why do you keep repeating yourself? It does nothing to excuse your hypocrisy.

There is nothing hypocritical about my postion.Quitting during your term because you got elected to a higher office is not exactly quitting. It more like a promotion.

She will fit right in with the other NUTS.:2wave::lamo

It's funny to watch the people who worship Barack Obama trash talk Sarah Palin.

Not really....its more like the people who trash talk Obama are generally the only ones who worship Sarah Palin. That's more accurate.

Yeah, but, we've seen Obama's performance as president. ;)

And being a Sarah Palin fan....I'm sure that you have a rather delusional view of the world, so forgive me if I don't give much weight to your opinions.
