Should Sarah Palin become a member of Congress?

Do you want Sarah Palin to become a member of Congress?

She would represent the constituency who elected her just as good as say
Sheila Jackson Lee represents her constituency.
If she Bashes the President, perhaps that too is representative of her constituency.

What would she do about immigration, jobs, healthcare?

Her job if she was elected as a Representative would be to represent the views of the people who elected her.
We hope her position on such subjects would reflect those of her constituency, no more, no less.

I'd love to have her run for McCain's seat. It would be worth it just to see the AZGOP soil themselves trying to get rid of her.

Not sure which of the two would be worse at that point.

Even if I was a conservative living in Alaska...there's no way I'd want her as my representative. She left office early as Gov and there's no doubt she does what's best for Sarah Palin. Sometimes it's useful having a national figure representing your state but in this case, I wouldn't want her.

I will vote yes when your poll appears, but only because I don't think Ginsburg is ever going to keel over so we can put Sarah on the bench.

Sarah Palin doesn't belong on the bench, she doesn't have the background.

I wonder if either of you would apply your same standards to President Obama...you know, the man who quit two (2) government service positions.

The media is on Obama's **** and propped him up to win the presidency. The media is so much on Obama's **** that Obama could be on video smacking the **** out women and saying "the only thing women are good for is cooking and sucking dick" and the media would pretend the video doesn't exist, mock those who show the video and find a way to spin the video in Obama's favor.

I'll admit that, for a lot of people, Obama quitting one more job would be considered a good thing.

Obama quits and Biden takes his place.I do not think that would be any better.

Well, whining about the media is all fine and dandy, but I asked about you.

Oh...Biden might not be better than Obama...by anyone's judgment, but he certainly wouldn't be worse.

Neither does that lesbian chick, but hey, whatcha gonna do. There is no requirement that a Justice even be educated in law. We could put anybody up there we wanted, which is why we should have a rotating seat that the citizens get to elect for a 1 year term based on their performance in a competition reality show called "Justice Got Talent."

I might not like her, but at least she has a Harvard law degree. Not that that has helped our CiC follow the Constitution any better.

John Marshall, William Rehnquist, and Earl Warren weren't judges first and a great many of our early justices were people who read the law as opposed having gone to law school back before the rent-seekers took over the profession.

Good point, it has only been a few years in most states where law school was required to take the bar.
A self educated person, could take and pass the bar, many did!

So in other words, you don't know and neither does anyone else. She never talks about what she would do which is why you can't say anything about her ideas. She has none.

Perhaps you need to track back a bit because I didn't ask you how you voted.
Obama's situation is not the same as Palin's.

1.Like I said before the media has their lips firmly wrapped around Obama's ****. Obama could be on video smashing a kitten's head with a brick, kicking a baby, saying some racist or sexist ****, or some other vile **** and the media would pretend the video doesn't exist, label anyone making a big deal out of it as racist and try to spin it in Obama's favor.

2.Elected officials do quit one office into to move into another office.THey just do not quit.

really only the fine people of Alaska could truly answer this question.

plenty of stupid people are in congress, like Michelle Bachmann, Steve Stockman, of course my least favorite congress person is Jim McDermott of Seattle, but hey the people who live in the districts with these bozos re-elect them so who am I to judge?

Palin needs to run for President of the USA on a third party ticket and be well financed in the effort.

This is a public poll that does not require declaring an ideological loyalty. Do you think Sarah Palin would be a good member of Congress?

I think she is just fine where she is at. Palin being cannon fodder for the Democrats to dump on. But it is strictly up to Alaskan's to decide the question you asked. They are the only ones who have a say that counts.

I think Half-Governor Palin would make a great addition to Congress. She has become a caricature of herself and she is doing a hilarious job of it. Better even than Tina Fey. She'd be hell at filibustering, reading Bartlett's Famous Quotations. Though having used it as the core of ALL her speeches she probably could cite it by memory. If she wants to run for Congress she'll have no problem finding dark money. She's already a Koch sucker. Tea baggers, dummies and fools would be thrilled to see Palin run. Then again so would Democrats.

For the sake of our country? No.

For the sake of laughs? Absolutely.

And...as I said...I'm not interested in your whining about the media. I'm talking about you.

This is what you said:

It doesn't matter what theory you want to believe in why she quit. The fact she quit her term as governor made her a quitter.Someone who can not be trusted to complete her term in office.

I asked you this:

I wonder if either of you would apply your same standards to President Obama...you know, the man who quit two (2) government service positions.

So...are you now telling me that the reason WHY someone quits DOES make a difference? Or, in your opinion, does it only not make a difference if you're talking about Palin?

Are you applying different standards depending on the person?

I like Sarah Palin, but she hadn't "read" the law either.
