I need to test this theory about who would prefer Sarah to throw her "hat" into the ring. This was inspired by a thread on the subject that was started by someone that describes himself as liberal.

So, how do people feel about a potential Sarah Palin presidential run:

....and, to borrow the style of US Conservative (no royalties are due)....

1) I am a left leaning American, I say "Run, Sarah, Run"
2) I am a left leaning American, I don't think Sarah will run, she just wants attention
3) I am a left leaning American, I think Sarah should go back to Alaska
4) I am a right leaning American, I say "Run, Sarah, Run"
5) I am a right leaning American, I don't Sarah will run, but I wish she would
6) I am a right leaning American, I think Sarah should just sit down and shut up
7) none of the above --- I'm just lurking

I personally think she would add color to a campaign that will already have plenty of color...

She won't run in a million years because she has no chance of winning...She could be a factor though as she does have a following.

I'm Canadian. I miss Dubya. Sarah Palin in a federal campaign would help ease my feelings of loss.

You should attach an actual poll...

But, to humor the thread, 3.

She shouldn't run. She doesn't really have a chance at winning, and her campaign would most likely be a side show anyway.

I'd vote for her in a second. I love me some cray-cray in a woman.

I am a right leaning American I do not want her to run. She ****ed her chances up after quitting her term as governor. It makes her look like a quitter and someone who is extremely spineless.

i voted none of the above

im an independant, while its fantasy whether i agree with them or not id like to see people that actually have a chance at being president . . . she has none . . . .

im sure there are some on the left tat would LOVE for her to run though because she would simply be a distraction, waste of a slot help them achieve victory . . .

None of the above - I think she should not run, because she has no chance of winning unless she has been hiding massive public appeal and obvious leadership ability all these years.

But I certainly don't want her to sit down and shut up, she has a right to state her opinion and others have a right to give her a venue in which to do so.

If she runs, she gets soundly defeated, and the money train from the mooks that still love her runs dry.

Ask Dick Morris....he got embarrassed and thumped, he tried to start a "stop Hillary" PAC, and it had zero donations to it.

She knows that there is still money to be mined from the rabble, she is gonna get it while she can.

She shouldn't run. She doesn't really have a chance at winning, and her campaign would most likely be a side show anyway.

.... which is my theory, that her running would be a great thing for those that hang left and a real annoyance for those that hang right.

Which is my other theory, that she needs to make some noise to re-stimulate that 15-minute fame machine because she has wandered too far into obscurity for her taste.... (In other words, its just good business for Palin, Inc.)

Sarah is hot, you should vote for her. ;)

No doubt. Although I doubt she'd do any permanent damage since it would likely become clear fairly quickly the has no chance of winning and she'd drop out.

That would be a good campaign for her: clear, concise and on the mark. Unfortunately, she likes to hear herself talk, and that is her Waterloo.

The woman is so profoundly stupid that she lowers the IQ of any debate side she advocates for.
Every time she is given ANY press she hurts the republican party.
She may help raise some PAC money from the loony right, but her stupid, meandering, vapid rhetoric drives moderate voters away from the GOP in droves.
She knows full well that she has about as much a chance of winning the presidency as Stephen Hawking has of winning Olympic gold in tho 100 meters, but her ego and desperate need to be famous will not allow her to STFU and the press know she is always good for a sensational news story.

Run, Sarah, run! And escape from this political trap as fast as you can!!

The Repubs have to find a way to shorten their primaries. Too drawn out, too much cannibalism last time.

I'd say get it done in a couple months. Start with fewer than the 12 candidates they started with last time. No crazy libertarians, tea partiers. Only invite people with a chance to win to the debates.

At the end of the day, this is a Bush vs Romney deal anyway, so let's just cut to the chase and focus on what really matters: beating Hillary.

I'm not interested in any Palin candidacy...but I find Palin Derangement Syndrome fascinating. Let's see how long this thread becomes. ;)

Pretty much describes 80% of the last Presidential field the GOP fielded last go-round. ;)

Having a chance of winning appears to be highly subjective, not only for the candidate but those who donate the millions of dollars a run for the White House requires. I see Palin more as the snarky twit throwing fact-lite red meat at any CON gathering, but that makes her just the warm-up clown for the real circus acts... :peace

I'm betting that Sarah bilks more money from her unsuspecting supporters with another SarahPAC.

There are people who vote for simple reasons.
