A nice representation of the GOP potential presidential field, with graphic placement of each candidate and where they fit within the five ring GOP circus. I think this is a nice, accurate representation of where these candidates stand in the spectrum.

Where's your favorite candidate?

To get me to vote GOP again, it would have to be someone to the Northwest of Paul.

Oooh. Sign me up for a candidate that sits between Christie and Paul. Moderate-Libertarian-Establishment.

Re: Where does your GOP Candidate fit on the spectrum?

The above graphic resembles an occupant list for a clown car. None, zip, zero of the people listed above would get my vote. From the total 16 counting Rubio there are 10 people who are either Christian Conservatives and/or Tea Baggers, 11 if you count Paul.

Romney? Oh, please, get serious. Then there is Jeb Bush, the Political Dynasty candidate for Sheeple voters. Christie is a maniac, unpredictable.

As of now Walker.

I would like to see the data behind the graph, more importantly how they weighted the factors. With just an estimated 10% deviation in weight, just about everyone in the graph is establishment Republican.

I cant imagine they used actual data... more like gestalt.

But I did omit the reference. Sorry.

Re: Where does your GOP Candidate fit on the spectrum?

I'll take moderate republican for $200 Alex.

Oh, but there ain't none in that graphic, I lose.

But wait, Christie did give Obama a big bear hug.

Re: Where does your GOP Candidate fit on the spectrum?

Meh, Rand Paul is the only one out of the list I would even halfway somewhat possibly consider. Which says alot about the others because he's a total nutter that wants to abolish the civil rights act and thinks abortion is bringing about the end of civilization. All in all, the choices suck. So, I will be with the Democrats (if Webb or Sanders happens to win), the Libertarians (if Gary Johnson or a libertarian just as moderate wins), or the Greens.

I'd also venture to say that since Rand Paul wants to prop up Israel, give militiarized drones to police departments, keep pot illegal, make abortion illegal, place sanctions on Russia, and uphold traditional marriage, that he's less of a "libertarian" option and more of a typical run of the mill Teabagger. Thought I'd kinda establish that since, as a gal that thinks of herself as having strong libertarian leans on many issues, it rather bugs me when people make him out that way. He's slightly less nutty than his other TP counterparts (*cough* Ted Cruz *cough*), but that's not really saying much since they can all see Russia from their house and like to read Dr. Seuss books on the house floor.

At this point since no Ryan. I was surprised of that. I'd prefer Romney or Bush or Kasich. To get you an idea of my age, I've voted for Romney all my life hehe! 2008, 2012, and now hopefully 2016!

PS: I think they forgot to put Paul in the radical section. Moderate???:shock::lamo What exactly is moderate about him?

I really hope Webb gets traction as well. That would be interesting.

There's a lot of saner choices that are closer to Webb on the GOP side than Paul. How you could go from Paul to Webb is beyond me.

Not in regards to foreign policy and civil policy.

You tell it, baby girl! I am right there with you.

I had to re-read this twice to make certain that I didn't write it. I could not agree with you more. Bazinga!

Re: Where does your GOP Candidate fit on the spectrum?

ah the things I disagree with him on.

Yup. But frankly, that doesn't much matter since I won't be voting for him, or any Republican for that matter. The GOP has a long way to go on basically every aspect of its platform before I will give them another glance of consideration.

Re: Where does your GOP Candidate fit on the spectrum?

I apologize for being a bit off-topic here ..

.. But I'd like everyone, especially moderators and administrators, to take a look at the poll results.

If a poll here is to mean anything, we have to find a way to protect against visitor spam voting.

Re: Where does your GOP Candidate fit on the spectrum?

I am not politically ignorant enough to have either a Dem or a Rep candidate.

Anyone who thinks either party is better then useless does not understand American politics.

The same goes for anyone who thinks that voting for a crap candidate is better then not voting at all...WRONG!!!

When Ron Paul retired, the last decent major party candidate retired with him (at least for now).

Re: Where does your GOP Candidate fit on the spectrum?

What an embarrassing line-up for the GOP.

Agreed. Probably Jeb. I'd like for him to be a little more moderate though.

You don't know how to read the graphic. Christie, Bush and Martinez are all moderates according tho the graphic.

Re: Where does your GOP Candidate fit on the spectrum?

Based on this, the guys I'm currently interested in watching are....

1 in Moderate/Establishment (Christie)
1 in Libertarian (Paul)
1 in Establishment/Tea Party (Walker)
1 in Libertarian/Establishment/Tea Party (Ryan)
1 in Establishment (Rubio)
1 in Establishment/Religious Right (Pence)

Yup looks like the disenfranchised are in full force. The question is who is skewing the poll? Liberals or Libertarians??? Too bad this is anon...Then we can see who it is voting. That being said, all my polls are usually not Anon and people vote just as much if not more. So in the future I think everyone should do that.

How could 100 people be voting and only two pages of replies? Makes no sense

I think we have a savvy internet professional in our midst. A hacker troll, if you will.

Moderator's Warning:
Non-members are allowed to vote in all polls. This is the desire of the sites owner. If you want to have an accurate representation of what the ACTIVE membership feels on an issue I would suggest you do an open poll, where you can then count how many actual members voted. Now lets get back to the topic as oppposed to discussing the in's and out's of how the voting process works on this board or making accusations of trolling or other such things

I voted for Paul, but I mean Ron Paul, not the fruit of his loins. Something
went wrong in the process. Possibly a bad batch. As one bad apple can
spoil a whole bushel, perhaps one bad sperm spoils a whole batch.
