Wasn't that discovered to be not quite true, very likely misleading, and pretty much ... false?Nothing illegal, he spoke at an event for a white nationalist group in 2002.
I know of someone whose marriage was "arranged" by a racist, married by that racist, and spent a whole lot of years in that racist's pew.Nothing illegal, he spoke at an event for a white nationalist group in 2002.
No crime committed, event happened a dozen years ago, so why exactly would he step down?

Not illegal, though.

Because he embarasses the Republican party and Greta Van Susteren thinks the Republican members of Congress should put pressure on him to step down.
I didn't say I respected her opinion on this, I merely posted what what she thought.Hmm... Do you respect Greta's opinions on all matters or only on this one?

My thoughts on the matter always come back to the same thing. If Republicans want to avoid looking like the party of old white guys then they should avoid talking to groups that hope the party is about old white guys. It is not about crime, it is not about freedoms. It comes down to perception of the party who as of recent does not handle well what that perception is.
Playing devil;s advocate for a minute, but don't you think you actually should speak to and try and sell your ideas to whomever will listen?
I don't believe Jeremiah Wright is racist.

The man who told The Washington Post he asked Scalise to speak took exactly one day to take it back and say that actually, Scalise didn’t attend the event. So which is it?
That was the question Smerconish posed to Duke this morning. And Duke honestly could not say for sure whether Scalise attended that 2002 conference, saying that he was out of the country at the time and the people he spoke to gave him contradicting accounts.
So, should he do the right thing and step down?
