The cause for more beheadings in America?

I just read about a man in Ok. Beheading his mother. This is probably the 4th beheading story I've heard (in the US) within a 10 mo time frame. I have never heard of this type of barbaic killing in the US until recently. I don't think this is one of those, " oh it happens all the time ,it's just the first time the media is addressing it" no it's not! The media would have reported it whether it happened in the 70's 80'sor 90's.

I personally think that hearing about it everyday in ME countries is starting to trickle over. It's just another method for crazy ppl to kill. Be it subtle, be it a subconscious thing, it's the only reason I can think of.

Have you noticed this slow but climbing trend of killings?

it's always been rare in the US..... but not unheard of.

I don't really see much of a "rising trend" when we are still speaking of less than a handful of folks

wiki actually has a list of people that have been beheaded in the US ( it's certainly not a comprehensive list)... most are from accidents, but there are the occasional loonies lopping heads off.

Chopping of heads has been going on for sometime in this country.. Media is just reporting it a lot now because of ISIS beheading vids.
