Don't shove anyone unless you are ready to back it up.

For some people and in some situations, a punch in the face is just what the doctor ordered.

First, all the participants in this tawdry street shouting match acted as common as dirt. Second, if you push somebody, be ready to be socked in return.

Bunch of drunk assholes having a street debate 7 or 8 on one. See this sort of thing all the time on the UK COPS shows, when they show up that is.

It seems he received a fitting and proper response to his diatribe.

Anyone know the location of the event?

Floatin' like a butterfly... stingin' like a bee

Thom Paine

It's sexy when arguing has an accent like that;). Yea he pushed first so he had it coming. I actually thought it was the woman that was gonna throw the punch.

Watch the video and judge for yourselves.

Yes. But not because he was yelling. You go around shoving people its basically like throwing the first punch.

Dreadful exhibition of public drunkeness..dreadful exhibition of racism..

I don't know really what to say...

Sadly, I do. I am very, very sorry that it was my generation that "popularized" the f-bomb. I don't think anybody ever dreamed that it would contribute so much to the coarsening of society the way it has.

Welcome to DP, Twixie!

Thanks nota bene..rock on!!..:respekt:

Correct.

Anyone who shoves someone shouldn't be surprised if they get punched.

He got what he asked for.
Yeah, he didn't seem very reasonable. I am not a violent person, but for some people, a punch in the face is the only thing that gets through to them.

I overlooked the foul language in that clip, thanks for pointing in out. The F-bomb has become as commonplace as a conjunction for some people. Even that chick sounded like she had just left her shift at the loading docks lol

I just never imagined that there would be a time that people felt free to drop the f-bomb, including children, just anyplace they pleased and for the most stupid of reasons. And I do feel partly responsible.

**** you :)

Well I heard the "c" word too!

It looked like it got that guy's attention.

If he doesn't change his attitude he'll likely get a few more.

The whole thing is exhausting to watch. Drunk people yelling at each other.

That said, if you're being a racist dumbass and then you shove someone you've been ranting about, you shouldn't be surprised if you get punched. What, did he think the guy was just going to let it happen? He might also have been wise to consider he was picking on someone younger and probably stronger than him.

Well I heard the "c" word too!

Yup. But for context's sake, it's worth noting that it isn't anywhere near as severe of a swear word in the UK as it is here. It can even be used positively (that's how I heard it more than half the time, in fact).

He is lucky the other guy didn't continue on him when he was down. He just let one fly and let is go at that. In a real street fight the next thing would have been ground and pound.
In his condition on his back the other guy could have just pulverized him. He lucked out.

I don't know the laws in England in this regard, but the gentleman invaded the space of the very quiet and controlled black youth, was asked not to get so close, and then shoved the black youth. The gentleman absolutely deserved to have his assault responded to in kind. Up until that point, it was just words and the expression of opinion which warrants no violence or physical harm. The ranter crossed the line and paid the price. If it goes to court, and I was on a jury, I'd applaud the black youth for his control and his ability to defend himself but only when necessary.

I didn't see anything in the video that suggested to me the young black man "acted as common as dirt". Can you point out why you feel that way?

When you get to London, straighten these guys out will you!!

I'm sure that the f-bomb was popular long before your generation - the major taboo was against using it in the company of the opposite sex.
