Once you meet your soul mate, it doesn't matter much what others think. You will soon notice some criticism and rejection. Yes, it hurts, don't get me wrong, but only for a little while. It is nothing compared to the happiness you feel being loved and loving someone.
True friends want you to be happy, no matter what and you find out quickly who they are.
You're correct in saying it doesn't matter what others think. If i got married it would be my choice, it wouldn't be based on what others thought.
That being said, based on my life experiences, no matter how much i loved someone, i would still be hesistant to marry in certain situations if it meant living outside my Country of residence as i know i couldn't adapt permanently to the vastly different cultural differences (language, beliefs, attitudes on how children should be raised, religion etc) in some Countries. Sometimes love does not conquer all, no matter how much you think it will.
