yes since the system is so broken and they are so retarded and fearful "they" (reps and dems) may vote alike in one of the houses but again i dont judge all reps and dems based on them.
while i get what you are saying the dem or rep on the street shouldnt be judged based on them or even all the people in those houses
to judge the right by palin and rush or the left by weiner and moore is sillly
yeah if up to ted cruz, bachmann, or palin the party would be even more extremist. The fact cruz votes for a party platform that's not quite on par with his "vision" (like supporting "traditional marriage" but stopping short of executing every gay couple) doesn't mean they're all as extremist as ted cruz.
However it still reflects badly on them to welcome, raise funds, and stump for a hateful loon like that, imo. This is why we need far greater number of viable parties, so there's not such absurd range of ideology under one banner, like Rand Paul ----------> ted cruz
