Re: Is the West at war with Islam?
You mean like slavery? I agree. We should applaud them for institutionalizing it.
Lmao, they didn't live up to them perfectly? Ummmm American, you do realize that when they wrote "We the people", they didn't include women, black people, homeless people or pretty much anyone who wasn't white, male and a land owner yes? Hell, their ideas and restrictive definitions are the reason most of the civil rights struggles of the last 200 years have taken place. Women, black people, poor whites have all at one point or another stood up against the standardized understanding of the constitution provided by white protestant males. They've actually expanded what was originally intended by the document. That alone should give you a clue as to the type of people they were. Remember, suffrage didn't come as a result of women using the constitution in their favor but adding unto it what the FFs would have definitely opposed. With that said, your attack on Robert Byrd who publicly renounced his views and chummy attitude towards the Founders who through their actions caused wars, political instability and general discontent for 2 centuries is laughable if not hypocritical.
No, but their ideas should be.

Just because they didn't live up to them perfectly doesn't mean their ideas were bad. Without those ideas put into play, black history may have played out differently..................TO NAME ONLY ONE ASPECT of America's development for your consideration.
