Its often fun to call them out on the lies and gross distortion of facts, the often exceed the lies and gross distortion of facts of your average DP post. Otherwise, they are just annoying.

Every now and then, however, you get a clever or, at least, original one. Cory Gardner ran this ad taking a shot the all the Udall's that are or have been office in a parody of the old TV series Dynasty, a 1980's ABC prime-time soap that was a knock off of Dallas, set in Denver. It was cute, but of course, the reference was lost on anyone under 45.

Republicans double down, poke Udall ‘Dynasty’ in new video | FOX31 Denver

Oh, yes, in the end, its a negative ad full of the lies and gross distortion of facts of which we have all become too accustom.

no. i hate them. i hate them even more than fake testimonials, the outside bathtub boner people, and the dude who would have cracked the block of his overheated 1969 Camaro if he had really poured ice cold water into it after taking a boner pill. the only commercial that even comes close to my level of hate for political ads is that ****ing piece of **** Crestor idiocy.

So....I feel like you're holding back....trying to hide your true feelings....tell us what you really think.;)

So many people claim to hate them, and I believe they are sincere in that. I might be weird, but yes, I do like them. I can't explain why. Positive, neutral, negative... doesn't matter. I get a kick out of them. I'm usually kind of sad when the election is over and they go away.

Well, I don't HATE them, but I don't watch a lot of TV, so I don't feel like I'm being bombarded.
They can be funny, though.
One local Dem congressman is being castigated by his Rep opponent for..."..voting with Pelosi 87% of the time..."
That's all???
Jeez a pol who only toes the party line 87% of the time would be called a RINO in the GOP.
That 87% makes the guy sound like an independent.

I don't like any kind of ad.

I love them. It's amazing to see how many dopey citizens they get to participate in the ads.

My favorite one currently in NH is an ad that's supposed to be denigrating Scott Brown. It contains about a half dozen women complaining that Scott Brown wants to take away their right to choose. What's noteworthy about it is that these women are not only incredibly unattractive (one even sports at least 3 chins), they are all upwards of 50 years old. I wonder how many unattractive 50 year old women are really worried about their right to get an abortion considering most of them are menopausal.

However, I think my point would bring some amount of skepticism toward the honesty of this poll's results. ;)

Remember, this is not exactly a scientific poll, and the responders are from a somewhat select group of voters.

Aaaaaaaargh! Just the mere mention of political television ads drives me to extreme rage! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!

Don't stop me from saying that 80% of those people are full of ****, alright? ;)

They're so honest, truthful and good hearted in nature....lol

The Florida race for governor has been one of the nastiest, most bitter, over done battles I've seen.

I saw the first Al Franken tour go through. That was great as an outsider, as I said before. These ads from another state I couldn't do anything about. Each trading blows. Then eventually I am watching my TV and I see like 2 ads. This thing had been browbeaten into me by this point. Up comes the Franken ad and Al had produced a political parody ad. "Al Franken hates puppies" and "Al Franken kills puppies!"

By the end of it, I thought about committing some serious voter fraud and voting for Franken for giving me tears of joy after the hours of horrendous Minnesota issues. I developed a deep hated for Minnesota and the people that live there during that campaign, but Al gave me a glimmer of hope.

You shouldn't hate the folks in Minnesota for the negative ads. I think every state has them. We've been getting them ad nauseum over a state senate race. If you just watched the ads, you'd think it was a race between Charlie Manson and Beelzebub.
