Should the Supreme Court proceedings be televised?

Here is Last Week Tonight's take on it.

Nobody would watch it. Court preceedings are incredibly boring.

And there is a channel that playsSimpson's all the time.

Live streamed would sound good to me.

A thousand times no.

No cameras in courtrooms.

Turning these things in media circuses is an annoyance.

If you're interested, help yourself to audio recordings and the written opinions. That's all you need.

I like John Oliver's work usually, but not this time.

(bold mine)

In all fairness, Oliver didn't really even present an argument in favor of televising the debates. It was just an excuse to use the dogs which you have to admit was at least chuckle worthy. The meat of the episode was the immigration application exposé.
