No matter how much the Republicans would like for the Benghazi story to hurt Hillary, I don't think it's going to. I also believe that the only way Hillary won't be our next President is if she decides not to run. And it looks like she is going to run.:2wave:

Sounds like your a big Hillary fan Amanda...Before one votes the question needs to be asked do you want a liar and cheat as your president? If that does not bother you then by all means vote for Hillary.

I am not agreeing with you.
But for arguments sake, there are many things much worse than a liar and many things much worse than a cheat.
Bush for example, was a liar that caused the deaths of over 100,000 human beings.
McCain has visions of the world on fire in his eyes.
Romney was merely a corporate shill.

If Clinton is indeed a liar or a cheat, you'd still have to show me something better to get me to not vote for her.
 
There were 13 "Benghazis" under Bush2- embassies or consulates attacked resulting in deaths of U.S. personnel. The difference is that Democrats aren't generally so depraved as to try to use the death of people who serve this country as fodder for partisan attacks. The really sick thing is that the Republicans still haven't stopped even now after so many of the families came out begging them to stop using their children's names for something like that.

It may not be JUST the Benghazi scandal that will prevent Hill's run, but then she has a lot more skeletons in her closet than just that one.

We can only hope that the same illogical justification of the first black president (an incompetent) doesn't apply to the first women president, but I suspect that there'll be a drive for many to vote for her just because she has 'woman' parts, has if that may any sense in the least.

Of course, the Republicans are going to have to offer up a strong and viable candidate. We'll have to see how that works out, and it's way too early to handicap that one.

Everyone has that vision. The visions of some are even loftier and more eloquent than that.. .. and, what you are articulating is a vision of a "promised land" not a vision of policy on how to get there, which your party lacks.

Government officials and their armed body guards killed in a combat zone are not classified as being "murdered", nor are the more than 100 other American's that were killed on the job in the several dozen attacks on US embassies and consulates in the past 35 years.

Policy how to get there? How about some hard work after getting an education.
Oh, and we are not talking about other attacks on consulates and embassies. We are talking about this one. The lies are really the issue. The fact that it happened is part of life. But its the LIES.

Should it bring it down? Probably.

Will it bring it down? Probably not. I think the average American voter just doesn't care that much about this particular issue. If Hillary loses it will be for other reasons.

The unique thing is Obama and Hillary lied and tried to cover it up blaming it on a video and four brave Americans died for political reasons...........This is 10 time worse then Watergate.....No one died there.

I would say it depends more on who she runs against than whatever is brought out about Benghazi. Especially if Republicans keep putting relics on the ticket then Hillary can combat "what difference, at this point, does it make?" and a dozen or so other questionable decisions or statements from her past going all the way back to Arkansas.

Nothing like interactive editing of history.... 4 people died in a conflict zone. This is nothing new (attacks on US consulates and embassies have lead to more than 100 deaths in the past 35 years) or outstanding. There were no premeditated crimes (like Watergate). Two of the people were from state department, the other two were security personnel (paid to be in harm's way)... this is much to do about nothing..... and actually, its not really that "much to do" as no one really cares except the molehill builders...

You have your cause-effect relationship wrong. The four Americans were killed before anyone in the WH tried to blame it on a video. Regardless of how it was spun after the fact, trying to blame it on a video was not what killed the four Americans. The Americans were killed by terrorists, not by the spin that happened AFTER the fact.

This is what the OVERWHELMING majority of the nation understands except right-wing extremists, and it is why nobody gives a flying f...k to your supposed Benghazi scandal.

By the way, deaths in American embassies and consulates happened 13 times during the Bush administration.

Everybody else is sick and tired of your Benghazi rhetoric which will have ZERO influence over the elections since no sane person who is not a right-wing extremist takes this as you guys do, and you guys wouldn't ever vote for a Democrat anyway.

The difference is my left wing friend is President Bush did not to cover it up...He did not send his Secretary of State to the funeral of one of the dead Americans and have her tell the mother of one of the dead Americans that we will get the people who made that video nor did President Bush sent his National Security advisor to all the talk shows and blame it on a video, nor did Presient Bush go in front of the UN and blame any deaths on a video.........You got that my far out left wing friend?

How is the spin responsible for the deaths?
The spin is political process which all parties use.
You want spin? Look at the "Mission Accomplished" gaffe and go tell all the families of the soldiers who died after that, that they died for nothing since the mission had already been accomplished.
By the way, I'm not a far out left wing person. I'm a case in point to show that even the more moderate and independent voters don't buy your Benghazi BS.
 
There is no scandal but that in the minds of extremist conspiracy theorists. No, it will have no effect.

Why can't you figure it out? they lied to the families of the guys that were murdeered for political reasons..........They did it over and over again....When someone died under president Bush he did not lie about it.............

At least it can push her over the edge. All her opponents will have to do is make a campaign commercial with a video or voice over of Hillary's 2008 speech saying: "Who would you want to answer that 3:00 A.M phone call into the white house? in my opinion, if Hillary is all they have, the democrat party is in trouble even if not for Benghazi. She lacks the health and the charisma for the long campaign to become president. Her husband was full of bull, however he at least had charisma going for him. All Hillary has is whatever is left of Bubba's coattails. Hillary looks 15 years older then she is. And at best, she will only guarantee the diehard leftwingers....while at the same time, she will draw conservatives out of the wood work to vote against her. Add to that, the fact that the voters are suffering a bit from dynasty fatigue. I think they are tired of Bushes and Clintons. Hillary's best chance was supposed to be in 2004. Her last real chance was in 2008. In 2016, she would just be the democrat party version of John McCain. Her only real slogan would be "It's my turn".
