Not only did you not lay a foundation for the quotes, you proved once again your goal was to inflame. Thank you for this post because obviously you have no historic validation for the reasoning behind such scriptures. People like you are dangerous because they seek regurgitate things that further their political agenda but haven't the balls or the intelligence to back it up.

I don't honestly know for sure because I'm not a Muslim and moreover I'm not a member of Isil. In Christianity the bible expressly states there are those who CLAIM to be in the faith but are not, possibly as many as half by some interpretations of Matthew 13. That said, I dint think we can apply a Christian formula in defining Islam because its like an apples to oranges case.

In my armchair quarterback opinion, I think Isil is Islamic but this is just my best educated guess. I believe the president is being PC and engaging in efforts to do image repair for Islam. George Bush did the same thing after 9/11. GWB's entire "Islam is Peace" speech - YouTube

Imo, until a given religion has a universally recognized hierarchical head, anyone who claims a religion is the religion so claimed, and ISIL self-professes to be an Islamic group.

Anyone who declares a sect-approved version of the Shahadah (declaration of faith below) is considered Muslim/Islamic
