Heya DH. :2wave: I agree with having a sound plan. Use to be.....we didn't need to explain anything out Right before we were going to do something. What do you think about BO coming out to give a Speech on 911?

He's pretty good at giving speeches, so sure. Of course, the right wing won't like what he has to say regardless of what it is, but a speech wouldn't hurt. I don't think he should lay out any strategy that may have been developed, however, as ISIS is likely to be listening.

Its already been leaked.....no boots on the ground. He wants 5 Billion to take the fight to them. Form the coalition and take it from there. Hagel went and visited Turkey yesterday. He says the Turks will decided what actions they will take.

Other than that bit about BO peep having AQ on the run and that ISIS was the JV team.....I was good with it. BO never had AQ on the run.....the entire time they kept morphing and growing. ISIS is ISIL.....AQ in the Levant. Both the heads of ISIS and Ansar al Sharia are former members of AQ.

Ansar al sharia attacked our people in Benghazi. Now as to all 3 looking to take kudos for what they do to the US.....they look to keep playing on this day. I am not so keen on them trying to compete with one another as to who can do the worse damage.

Truly.....I think we could take this day away from them wherein they wont want to celebrate nor remember. We could give them more than enough to actually fear. Dropping Napalm on their ass will tune them Right in.

Hi MMC:2wave:
I can see both sides of this,
I'd love to see them punished on 9-11
But I can see it as possibly stirring up a hornets nest.

I'm glad I'm just a working peon not having to consider this!!

My main concern is that the idiots in charge keep watching for problems
on Thursday,9-11.
We don't need another Bengazi!!:twocents:

I thought he said we didn't have a strategy.

Well he changed that up and went with what Kerry said. That ISIS will be destroyed within 3 years. That we will degrade and destroy them. Plus we will form a coalition for the region. Which he has taken credit for.

I can see why we'd like to hit them on 9-11,
but I'm afraid we'd stir up a hornets nest!!

Glad I'm not In charge to make these decisions.

No more Benghazis!!!!!!!:twocents:

Sounds rather vague to me, a lot like Nixon's plan to end the Vietnam war.

Heya Penn. :2wave: They are going to try and hit us on this date anyways. No matter what we do.

We also already have them stirred up.....BO and his Team have tightened down on Security with our overseas Embassies already. Even telling them should they need anything to send the word.

Why wait to see what the enemy is going to do? How about forcing the enemy to do what we want them to do. For the change up.

And another, more deadly and powerful terrorist attack somewhere down the road.

Hell, this forum went ape**** over Putin mentioning his nukes, and now some Americans want to drop one, or two....

Like Congressmen and billionaires who want to use tactical nuclear weapons to obliterate Iran's underground nuclear facilities, for various interests and geopolitical concerns.

Well.....just from the Airstrikes we now have some unintended consequences with this whole issue. As ISIS even losing ground has come back to take revenge. But that's shouldn't stop us.

The Unintended Consequences Of The U.S. Campaign Against Islamic State.....

A small group of people pick through putrefying human remains laid out on plastic sheets by the side of a road in northern Iraq, searching for any trace of missing friends and relatives. But the aftermath illustrates the unintended consequences of the U.S. air campaign against Islamic State. Kurdish and Shi'ite fighters have regained ground, but Sunni Muslims who fled the violence are being prevented from returning home and some have had their houses pillaged and torched.

Rather than help keep the nation together, the air strikes risk being used by different factions for their own advantage in Iraq's sectarian and ethnic conflicts. The fallout also risks worsening grievances that helped Islamic State find support amongst Iraq's Sunnis, and allows the militant group to portray the U.S. strikes as targeting their minority sect. That may make it more difficult to bring Sunnis on side and convince them to fight the militants.....snip~

Let's mourn and memorialize the death and destruction of 9/11 by creating more death and destruction!!

The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral,
begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy.
Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it.
Through violence you may murder the liar,
but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth.
Through violence you may murder the hater,
but you do not murder hate.
In fact, violence merely increases hate.
So it goes.
Returning violence for violence multiplies violence,
adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness:
only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness;
only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate;
only love can do that.
Hate multiplies hate,
violence multiplies violence,
and toughness multiplies toughness
in a descending spiral of destruction....
The chain reaction of evil --
hate begetting hate,
wars producing more wars --
must be broken,
or we shall be plunged
into the dark abyss of annihilation.

He's relying on Kerry to make the decisions? Really? hmmm... Karma can indeed be a b****, but she does have a sense of humor!

Boehner gets early credit for refusing to say yes or no on whether Congress should approve of the actions of
the President until he meets with Obama along with Pelosi, McConnell and Reid in about an hour.

Meanwhile, most of the 535 congressional morons who are speaking out should pay attention to Boehner, both sides of aisle.

One can only imagine how ISIL and Putin are laughing at how this Congress speaks out BEFORE the President even speaks, let alone acts .

Yet you were outfront as a huge supporter of airstrikes MMC.
I've already listened to people like you such as Krauthammer and Kristol who will never be accepting of anything your President does.

He takes your advice, you strike at him on the flip side for repercussions.
He doesn't take your advice, you strike at him for not bombing .

There have been some good ones before.

If you say so, although what qualified as a liberal in the past and what qualifies as one today are often very, very different.

The definition of "liberal" is quite flexible. To a lot of self described "conservatives", a liberal is anyone who disagrees with them politically. It's a lot easier, you see, to simply dismiss any idea with which one disagrees as "liberal", and therefore bad, than it is to actually examine the merits of a particular issue.

Those are generally the ones I was referring to.

So it's just like "libertarian", where anyone who wants to feel superior can call themselves "libertarian". Gotcha.

Wrong again.....especially with just airstrikes. Which does nothing but push them around. Oh and I also stated nothing can be won unless there are those on the ground. Which from the beginning I have stated its not just our problem. Its everybody's problem. So save all that BS.....and just accept when your man BO puts his own feet into his mouth, and then starts doing the double talk and the Flip-Flop and Fry.

Get use to it......as you will be seeing plenty of it for his last 2 years.

Yeah yeah.....now you go turn on a light for them and tell them how much you love them. We will wait and see how that all works out.

The American people point blank don't want troops on the ground--what don't you get about that?

The crass politics trying to drive a wedge between the President and his liberal anti-war base is noted and I will continue to speak back to it .

MMC, we continue to see the
GOP turn on that light you speak of and give ISIL and Putin aid and comfort on the world stage with their 24/7/365 back-biting.

The only "strategy" I want the President to employ in public is to not tell this congress/Senate anything BEFORE he does it--as per current law.

435 children in D.C. afraid to put themselves on record before the election--I doubt if you support that .

What don't you get about other countries putting people on the ground.....What don't you get about other countries being involved? Were you still confused. If we are using airstrikes then let them put their own people on the ground. It is clear you have no idea about strategy or tactics. Nor getting a coalition to do some of their own dirty work.

Get it now? Do you have it figured it out.....now? How many times are you going to falsely keep trying to say that others are saying to put US troops on the ground? Did you want to try another stab at it?

You didn't say other countries--poor attempt to deflect.
Were you still confused.
Telling me I'm confused is another poor attempt to deflect from YOUR "strategy" of putting
American boots should be on the ground, dying, and then you'd blame Obama for that.

Nah as usual, what we see is Nimby always taking things out of context so he can throw up some smack on the GOP and the Right. The Norm.

But as usual Nimby forgot about all those Demos that want the lights turned on and the Cockroaches cleaned out too.
