Re: Do you think Obama is doing a good job as presideent?

The poll is fine, IMO....nice and simple and straightforward.

Though personally, I am more interested in what percentage of liberals/traditional democrats think Obama is doing a good job.

My guess, despite the fact that he clearly is not doing a good job (IMO), is that most Dems would say he is for little other reason then he is 'one of us'.

And I believe Reps would vote the same way if 'one of them' was in the WH and doing an equally inadequate job.

I have said it time and again...

...partisan politics is slowly destroying America.

I made the poll public so you can check out the Liberals who said he isn't.

How typical. Once you lose a debate you start in with the ad homs.

No left wing Liberal like you has ever defeated me in a debate.........when you lose you attack the messenger.......typical.

Uh, attacking the messenger is what you did when you accused me of being jealous of Romney's wealth, big guy. And since I'm not the topic of this thread, I'd appreciate it if you didn't attack me directly. Thanks.

Really?

Okay, debate me on this: Conservative economic dogma must be wrong because the most successful democracies on the planet ALL have significant degrees of socialism - they all have big government, high effective taxes, and strong regulation...

...whereas all the nations which have small governments, low effective taxes, and weak regulations are ALL third-world nations.

Why is this? Because conservative economic dogma is flat wrong.

And btw - you do realize, of course, that in your comment you yourself attacked the messenger.....

So, no you can't actually cite anything.

Just as I expected.

Re: Do you think Obama is doing a good job as presideent?

I agree, with the help of the Media Obama has single handily destroyed this country as we know it.

If he had the media's help, then by definition he didn't do it single-handedly.

This whole "the country has been destroyed" garbage is worthless, hyperbolic crap.

From how I used to see outside US, I wouldn't say good but I wouldn't say terrible as well.

I didn't realize that DP was so Right learning, because looking at the polls it's pretty clear which side of the fence most people on here are.

LOL......this one has got to take the cake of delusion.....

Technically he's not wrong though, I mean does this site have an area that is for one on one debates? One that has a neutral arbiter to decided the winner?

I think a lot of liberals are dissatisfied with Obama, just for totally different reasons than righties are.

I guess so. Do liberals not see Obama as "not liberal enough"? I know in a lot of liberal circles, especially latinos, the fact that this president has deported more people than any other president irks them. Or is it more to do with the shape of the country?

Me personally, I am very dissatisfied with a foreign policy I'd best describe as "indecisive interventionism" and his complete subservience to the surveillance state.

But he's done some good (at least would liberals would classify as such) though right? You got Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, and other stuff I'm sure you could name. Aren't you just throwing out the baby with the bath water?

If you look at the names on the poll you will se a lot of liberal in no column.

It doesn't show me the names, in fact, I've had problems with this for a while... even with polls I create.

YW but some lefty brought up Romney and I responded.

Re: Do you think Obama is doing a good job as presideent?

Which one of them do you think has a chance of passing in the Democratic controlled Senate? Why won't Bohener put the BIPARTISAN immigration bill that the Senate passed to a vote in the House? The House has been the source of the gridlock, they shutdown the Govt. They spend their time on partisan witchhunts instead of governing.

Thing of it is, that many of the House passed bills to come with Bipartisan support.

House Democrats are urging their Senate counterparts to move their bills in the upper chamber this year.

Out of the 195 House-passed bills that are now stalled in the Senate, 31 were written by Democrats, and many have been awaiting Senate approval for close to a year.

Most of these Democratic bills are non-controversial. But House Democrats are stressing the importance of passing them.

GOP House leaders and Senate Democrats have engaged in a back-and-forth blame game on the gridlock in Washington.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) has set up a website showcasing all bills “stuck in the Senate." President Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), meanwhile, have criticized the House for not acting on immigration reform, which passed the Senate last year.

But the fact that House Democratic bills are sitting in the Senate gives GOP leaders political ammunition.

“Democratic bills, Republican bills, bipartisan bills — the House has moved scores of legislation to help hard-working families and build an America that works,” Cantor Deputy Chief of Staff Doug Heye said. “Harry Reid's do-nothing Senate must not have gotten the memo that President Obama declared 2014 a year of action.”
House Dems to Senate: Pass our bills | TheHill

Even the GOP senators are joining their Dem house members in this:
GOP Senators Join Sessions' Fight to Demand Harry Reid Allow Vote on Anti-Executive Amnesty Bills

So, so much for your 'pass bipartisan bills' out of the house. They are.

You have to click on the voting numbers then you will see the names and how they voted.
