Do you think Obama is doing a good job as president?

He shared more of my values than the other guys who, so far as I could see, shared very very few of them. Second, anyone...anyone...who pays attention to the bumper sticker slogans of any candidate is a complete idiot. Did you like Romney's and McCain's bumper sticker slogans better, and is that why you voted for them?

That's the thing, how did you know he shared your values ? Obama's " values " were defined by his campaign and the media.

Also, I'm no fan of John McCain's but to be fair, he didn't base his entire campaign around nonsensical platitudes like " Hope and Change ".

He didn't promise to " lower the sea levels " and there was no definitive reaction from Obama, his campaign or the media to shut down his idiot supporters who publicly declared that Obama would pay their bills.

I guess they figured, " let them beleive it, maybe more will hear them and beleive it too. "

People didn't elect a capable and qualified leader, they elected a construct.....TWICE !

He was a media creation, a empty suit " qualified " by a campaign and a media that promised the impossible and Americans should have known better.

I was not aware that Obama was obligated to travel the lands and personally disabuse anyone of the notion that he'd solve problems he never promised to solve.

Talk about ridiculous standards.

There's this thing, its been around for some time, called a " TELEVISION " that enables a Presidential candidate to communicate with the mass's from a remote location.

You know, without him havunw to literally " travel the land ".

He could have simply made a short statement informing the Nation that NO, that he would not be responsible for their Bills, or for buying them a car.

Or for lowering the Sea Levels.

He never promised to do any of those things. So Obama was obligated to explicitly state he would NOT do things he never stated he would? That's utterly absurd.

If Obama had gone on TV in 2008 and told people he would not be buying them cars, you guys would have skewered the hell out of him for it. If I ever run for office, remind me to NEVER make you my campaign manager.

Re: Do you think Obama is doing a good job as presideent?

That is exactly why I am a registered independent.

LOL....NP is one of the most hard-core Republicans out there. There is nothing "independent" about him.

How do you know that Romney or McCain shared the same values as you?

McCain's campaign slogan was "Country First." Is that why you voted for him? Mitt Romney's was "Believe in America." Is that why you voted for him?

I voted no but alot of that is because the Republicans have deliberately prevented him from doing things just to stop him from doing anything. At the expense of the entire country. But IMO Obama could have stood up to Boner from the very beginning, called his bluff, and put a stop to much of it early on.

It was obvious every time they pushed the budget decisions out. Pathetic.

Re: Do you think Obama is doing a good job as presideent?

Never said that was the case but, using the media to trash one side and turn American public opinion so that someone as inept as Obama could step in was bad for us all. It divided this country to a point where, IMO, there may be no return.

I agree, with the help of the Media Obama has single handily destroyed this country as we know it.

Do you even read any of the other posts in this thread before you spout your left wing talking points?

I believe Romney with his business background could have straightened out the economic that Obama got us in.

One of the centerpieces of Romney's platform was the elimination of the estate tax (you know this as the "death tax"), a tax that only affects individuals whose estate is in excess of 5.25 million dollars, and comprises .14% of the country. Seeing as this would personally benefit him by about a bazillion dollars, I just got that weird little feeling that my needs weren't terribly high on his list of priorities.

Re: Do you think Obama is doing a good job as presideent?

So you cannot even name one specific thing.

Which suggests you are an extreme partisan hack.

a dozen have already been named........read the ****ing thread.

Romney is already wealthy.......He has more money then he could ever spend.

80+% huh not as bad as I thought, hahaha. Yeah he sucks bad and finally although to little to late the otherside has finally started admitting so.

:applaud

Re: Do you think Obama is doing a good job as presideent?

I am waiting for your input, problem is I already know what your going to say.

Rubber baby buggy bumpers. Bet you didn't know I was going to say that.

Seeing as he was pushing for a tax policy that would directly benefit himself versus 99.86% of the population I'm going to have to say he sees his wealth differently than you do.

The truth be told is your the one who sees wealth differently and might be a little bit jealous of his success.

How typical. Once you lose a debate you start in with the ad homs.

"We've left behind a soverign... solid, stable Iraq."

He's the worst president we've ever had.

Re: Do you think Obama is doing a good job as presideent?

The poll is fine, IMO....nice and simple and straightforward.

Though personally, I am more interested in what percentage of liberals/traditional democrats think Obama is doing a good job.

My guess, despite the fact that he clearly is not doing a good job (IMO), is that most Dems would say he is for little other reason then he is 'one of us'.

And I believe Reps would vote the same way if 'one of them' was in the WH and doing an equally inadequate job.

I have said it time and again...

...partisan politics is slowly destroying America.

Re: Do you think Obama is doing a good job as presideent?

So.. don't allow him any credit but assign him all the blame? I get it now..
Sometimes I wonder if that should be on the application form for president - expect all blame and no credit.
