Is There a War on White People?

Allegations of abusing the race card have been thrown across party lines since before President Barack Obama became America’s first black president, but one Southern Republican is saying that Democrats have launched a race war, and their target is white people.

“This is a part of the war on whites that’s being launched by the Democratic Party, and the way in which they’re launching this war is by claiming that whites hate everybody else,” said Brooks.

Are the Democrats really trying to use the Immigration issue and first black President to garner minority voting blocks? Wouldn't the Republicans do the same, since they're often considered more representative of white people?

There is no war on whites just as there is no war on women, Christmas, or the Easter Bunny. Although I still laugh at the thought of whomever was drunk that thought of the holday Easter with a Big ass bunny going around hiding eggs for some reason.

There really isn't even a war on terror since we allow terrorism to thrive in places like Africa and do nothing about it.

they'd better watch out.
There's been a war on poverty for fifty years more or less, and the result is more poverty.
There has been a war on drugs for almost that long, and the result is more drugs.
We've been waging a war on terror for a dozen or so years now, and there's more terrorists than ever.

Wage a war on white people, and the white people will take over, mark my words!

Seriously? No, not seriously, but then the idea that the re is a war on whites is not a serious idea either.

“It’s a part of the strategy that Barack Obama implemented in 2008, continued in 2012, where he divides us all on race, on sex, greed, envy, class warfare, all those kinds of things,” Brooks continued.

Because no race riot ever occured in history prior to 2008. :lamo

No. It's more political BS just like the "War on Women" and the "War on Christmas."

I think Easter became associated with the Spring Equinox and related pagan holiday. Kind of like how Christmas got a decorated tree, presents and Santa Claus.

I thought the phrase coining of "War on Terror" was one of the dumbest things of all time. It's like saying, we'll eliminate fear by creating fear.

Another frigging race thread.

Far too many Americans are obsessed by them it seems.

War on white people?

The hell is this ****.

Are we not seeing the 'rebirth' motif?

Kind of like how Christmas got a decorated tree, presents and Santa Claus.

Are we not seeing the 'everlasting life' and 'gifts in lean times' motifs?

This is the constant line among white nationalists and it is concerning how this diatribe is entering the mainstream because it is patently false.

For some people it is an understandable perception, other racial groups are becoming a bigger part of the population and naturally as one group becomes smaller, some among that group naturally feel fear.

But it all depends on how such perceptions manifest themselves and that's the key thing.

No, there is no race war against us.

But we're winning.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger. I was just providing information.

Santa Claus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I was merely pointing out the common motifs between the equinoxes and the holidays. Spring is a time for rebirth, or re-arising. Winter is a time to consider the evergreen (representing eternal life) and give to those in need (as crops are not coming in).

So my lead lined bomb shelter was just a waste of money then?

The lead part probably is. You need something to ward off black people...maybe you could blast Pat Boone music out of giant speakers.

I just wanted to be prepared if Superman took a side.

Yeah, I think they merged those pagan and Christian holidays together because of the similarities.

That was the crux of the article, that whites were too big and influential a voting block for any party to alienate.

Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney may have had more white supporters in the 2012 election, but white voters made up 39 percent of Obama supporters in 2012.

Would it serve the bottom line of the Democratic Party to alienate white voters with such a war? Doesn’t seem that either party could afford a war against such a large and influential voting population.

Even Ingraham—who has called for mass deportation and some pretty radical policies—couldn’t get on board with Brooks’ argument calling his “war on whites” argument “a little out there.”

I would not say there is a war on any of those things, however I do think that the things you listed, and many others are attacked by various groups

There should be a war on outspoken politicians from Alabama.

There's no war on white people, it's just the Democrats trying to suck up to voters.

1. No, there is no war on white people.

2. Yes, Democrats are using both to garner 'minority' voting blocks.

3. Yes, Republicans would do the same if they could.

If it's by the Democratic party, wouldn't it be a civil war? The vast majority of Democrats are white.

The GOP gave up blacks when Nixon implemented his "Southern Strategy". They gave up Hispanics when they - the GOP - decided that they had to assume that to support the Hispanic community automatically meant supporting illegal immigrants (see "papers please" laws). They gave up Asians by - according to the polls asking Asians - vilifying LGBT's and non-Christians and by refusing to pass immigration reform, not to mention a couple of wars in Asia, one of which was illegal and unprovoked.

The GOP did not make a conscious decision to make nonwhites as a whole feel unwelcome in the GOP...but that's what the aggregate of their actions certainly did. For Republican politicians and pundits to infer that there's some kind of "war on whites" evinces a vast ignorance of their party's own actions over the past four decades.
