First off the woman in question is an idiot and a poorly educated one. Claiming her 105 year old grandma who died last year was born when slavery existed is just gross ignorance. And I don't think I even need to address her ignorance in economic matters. As to the question of has liberalism contributed to her idiotic rant, obviously she has bought into certain aspects. Black victimhood. Entitlement. This whole rant started because she was upset she had to pay for water, which is ironic because there is a thread elsewhere on the forums where some left leaning folks are arguing that water is a right, not a commodity.

But that said, her gross stupidity is not an indictment of liberalism. All ideologies have morons who latch on to them. I'm sure there are plenty of videos of inbred rednecks spouting pseudo-conservative ignorance as well. The same goes for really an ideology. Communism, libertarianism, anarchism, socialism, whatever. One moron is not representative of an entire broad based ideology.

And lastly, while I do agree most of her "thinking" seems to based on left wing ideas, her rant against immigrants would fit in quite well with certain right wing anti-immigrant types.

I might have voted yes, if you had left out most your own slanted commentary of weighted language. I had to say no, because it doesn't happen in the way you seem to believe. But, strictly speaking, yes, I think some liberal policies contribute. Conservative policy making would be worse, but yes, liberal policies are not perfect.

Sadly, the KKK is really more of a democrat thing.

Oooohhh nooo buddy boy, I'm talking beyond party. Nice try though.

You attributed that subhuman to liberalism.

I'm attributing the KK to conservatism, democrat or not, conservatism. And it is conservatism by definition, what the KKK is and what it represents.

One loss for you.

Southern Democrat*
Which as you may or may not know, is in modern terms, a conservative/republican
Ya know, conservatives like to conserve ****.

well this thread was fun
:failpail:

I dont think Ive ever used the term subhuman to describe anyone, anywhere. I didn't infer causality, merely contribution. Please read.

Yeah we know all of the racists magically switched sides, why? Because democrats tell us this.

Not all of them...just most of them
How about we just acknowledge that the south has been the more racist part of this country since forever.
aannndd what color is the south? The deep south?

Because I disagree with that premise, in fact the north was seen by many as more racist both before and after the civil war.

I came across this tragic video clip-and after the shock subsided I felt pity for this woman. She not only demonstrated racist comments, but also delusions about society, entitlement, victimization, and profound ignorance of what should be basic awareness of history-likely she was educated by a public school, perhaps not graduating from high school. She is clearly frustrated but blames others for her problems, in a very vulgar manner. This is NOT funny, but I want to guage in this poll how our forumites feel.

When looking at liberal institutions like the war on poverty, poor public schools without recourse, victimization, affirmative action, identity politics, reparations, anti-capitalism, critical theory, and social marxism-Does liberalism contribute to the issues this woman demonstrates?

Please note this exchange is FILLED with vulgar language and as such is NSFW.

Seems rather simplistic to blame this on "liberalism."

Seems simplistic to infer that contribute=cause. I wish people would read prior to commenting. :doh
Hell, her hemorrhoids may have contributed to the rant. What's the point?

So poll taxes and the KKK were all to help black people in the south?
Thanks for enlightening me

Please read, I've referred to her as subhuman time and time again. Not you ever.

Just another witless, barely sentient statistic of the electorate. She probably went home and watched Springer while gorging herself comatose on eclairs in her ****ty little tenement kennel. It's absurd to suggest that any of that was a cogent, ideological perspective motivated by anything even remotely approaching Liberalism.

Either this is a shameless bait thread, or you're in the habit of grossly overestimating people.

Or its an interesting incident worth discussing.

No, it's a sectional thing. And a conservative thing. Go poll KKK members and find out how many are liberal.

Your partsianship completely blinds you to reality.

The blue states became red states and the red states became blue states in the span of 10-20 years. So either everybody moved at the same time, or yes, there was a massive shift in party lines. It's hilarious revisionism when Republicans claim that the party shift is a liberal myth. Talk about denial.
